Michael you've come a long way from the young bloke doing up a GT80 and drooling for a TM400.....great work. Hpws the GT80 coming anyway?

I have a 1971 tm400 in the shed now too Firko it is in bits I just need to get another case for the motor the gt80 is in my mates house I rode it up his road and he was pretty happy when I rode it in his driveway.

He gets it out and starts it every now and then I think it has like 600m on the speedo now and I think he is going to take it to a few bike shows as well.

 The Phaeton on the left was my dads supercharged 852 Auburn. Very rare in oz as the yanks came over and bought them cos most came over here.

 Rear view. This car is not the real thing. My dad owned it in its original state, a 1929 speedster which the buyer wrecked in my opinion to make it look like the later model.

 I suppose thats bound to happen when one does 70mph full lock slides on tar roads!

I saw this at the Lancefield swapmeet last weekend (amongst some other beauties),is this a John Goss special?

Yes the John Goss came in two colour variants always white base but either blue green accents they were all 302's nice car seems to be a few still around I reckon because they were John Goss Special people kept them in nice nick.

But even people make JGS mock ups which seems weird the only thing I dont like on that car is the gt badge.

Oldskool that is a very nice corolla I like some of the early toyota's especially the celica's.

Thanx frosty it has 92000 original k's full log book history stamped by toyota dealer gets attention every where I take it and it drives like new.
Can't wait to see photos of your charger when finished should be the goods.

I am slowly got the protection package on and new indicator switch in I try to do something every week on the passenger side the chrome protection strip is dipping a bit from the front guard to the door but the holes were there I might be able to sneak it around a few mm's but the strip is only like 15mm wide so it can't move much it is one of those things I would notice but maybe not others.

I have the headlining to put in and door and backseat top vinyl to put on I just need to do it get cracking and do it here is a pic of the side protection strip I tell you it is scary putting them on you really have to belt them onto the plastic clips that hold them and there is a bolted clip on each one so they cant be stolen atleast one thing I don't have to worry about is striking bog as there is none in the car.

My 240z is still at the panel beaters I am still undecided on colour I was thinking going red again but I have lately been thinking of a pearlescent white.

Mate of mine bought a John Goss special for his first car when he was 18.  he rolled it and flipped it end over end.  The only part he could salvage was the gearbox.  He said the last thing he remembered was looking at the speedo doing 120mph, just before he fell asleep.  He and two other mates walked away from the wreck, one had a bit of concussion.  He hitch hiked back to Melb' and bought a XB GT351 the next day.

Very lucky lads,and maybe a bit of body strenght shown on the coupe's part,glad all were o.k. but geez what a waste of a classic.Im also looking forward to seeing the charger up and about Frosty,i like the colour too,i'll find the pic of the one at Lancefield

Could it be said that the John Goss special might well be one of the rarest FORD collectables of that era? I have only ever seen one genuine one in the flesh and that would have been over twenty years ago. A very smart looking and unique car being a coupe and not a GT. Not overdone, and a little on the conservative side with the 302 being the only size engine that they arrived with.

well havent been on vmx for a while now due to my 2 new hobbies one may not be classic yet but was my first car


the hq is a major project but the vl is getting there

That is a nice one Dale I am definitely going with white interior I was half thinking of going black but I reckon it will go well with the exterior colour and that is what it was originally.

I only have the one mirror I will see if I need one on the passenger side when I get it done can always add one but it didn't come out with it that was an option.

Nice cars Caps what is your plan on the vl my favourite holden is the vl walkinshaw I don't really care to much ford holden chrysler I do have a preference to ford and chrysler but then I also have the datsun so I am someone who isn't a die hard for one marque.
