yeah there's a few getting around up here too Tony, I luuuurve those wings. The jet age was excellent for vehicle design 8) surprisingly I have seen a few '57 chevs of late getting around here also. 3 in the past week and 2 I see regularly, 2 are metallic blue (1 with GM671 poking it's snout through the bonnet) and the other new one I spotted on friday was a pearl silver. All extremly nice, highly modified drive trains and of show standard but obviously daily drivers which makes them even better in my eyes ;) reminds me of Running On Empty..spota, a '57 chev, correction, spota a blown '57 2 door chev. Ya putting on all the agony but you just haven't got the style..you have to feel the power! quote from Max Cullen just before he hands the young guy his black out glasses ;D a great movie for the day..might have to watch it again..check the points? Yeah Foxy, gap the plugs? Yeah Foxy, well go f#ck yourself then!..classic! :)

Some beautiful cars there fellas. Here is a pic of my baby. A 1969 Corvette Stringray. I brought it over from California in June 08. Curently it is running a 350/350Hp with 4 speed but plans are for a 427 Big Block.

Dreams can come true. I never thought I would own one but all up to buy and bring the car here it owes me $30K. I know it's not practical to go shopping in or pick up the kids from school in but people spend more than that on a Falcon or Commodore. Worst part is with the US dollar at the moment but hopefully in can get back to a resonable state.

Yeah I thought about all the money I would have to spend on the bikes if I sold the vette but I would miss it to much, besides I'm a horder so I collect everything. Looking to buy an old 60's model Kenworth at the moment. Trucks very expensive. :P

And people reckon there's nothing left out there to find! Here's my latest shed find, a genuine 1980 Walkinshaw XJ-S Jaguar, found for me by Husky 67 in Queanbeyan N.S.W. when he picked up the Silver Bullet 500 Husky he'd purchased from the same owner. As most of you know, I've already got a pretty nice '78 XJ-S but this one is just soooo much nicer. It's got the 6 litre engine (instead of 5.3), cool Bathurst body kit, rare electric sunfoof option, equally rare lambswool upholstery instead of usual leather, tricked up computer, Walkinshaw tweaked injectors and cold air inlet, all new adjustable Bilstein suspension, Le Mans cams, Simmons wheels and best of all, it's as straight as a gun barrel with the very minimum of rust (and none in the usual places). The downside is that the auto transmission is rooted but the seller supplied me with a recoed trans, ready to fit. It's been off the road since 2004 but getting it registered will be a snack.........How much you ask? $5000 Aussie dollars and that includes trucking it to Sydney! Getting this baby on the road may set my bike projects back a tad but it'll be worth it. I'm stoked.
