And people reckon there's nothing left out there to find! Here's my latest shed find, a
genuine 1980 Walkinshaw XJ-S Jaguar, found for me by Husky 67 in Queanbeyan N.S.W. when he picked up the Silver Bullet 500 Husky he'd purchased from the same owner. As most of you know, I've already got a pretty nice '78 XJ-S but this one is just soooo much nicer. It's got the 6 litre engine (instead of 5.3), cool Bathurst body kit, rare electric sunfoof option, equally rare lambswool upholstery instead of usual leather, tricked up computer, Walkinshaw tweaked injectors and cold air inlet, all new adjustable Bilstein suspension, Le Mans cams, Simmons wheels and best of all, it's as straight as a gun barrel with the very minimum of rust (
and none in the usual places). The downside is that the auto transmission is rooted
but the seller supplied me with a recoed trans, ready to fit. It's been off the road since 2004 but getting it registered will be a snack.........How much you ask? $5000 Aussie dollars and that includes trucking it to Sydney! Getting this baby on the road may set my bike projects back a tad but it'll be worth it. I'm stoked.
