I don't have any pictures of early works stuff, it's the hand made parts that I like to perv on.

You're right Geoff, some of the exotic shit the Japs came out with in the early eighties was pure art. Oh for a return to the days of full on works bikes.
If the Red Devil CRs are Hawko on wheels I reckon the HLs are Firko on wheels

Hmmmm, I don't think I will use that in my HL advertising campiagn :)

I would have voted for a HL but I didn't want to be predictable.

Not the weapon of choice in 76/77 but I wanted one then
and I've got one now (I don't know any better)
but looks slim , light and uncomplicated on the stand
and feels the same to ride

you can even bling them up a bit

Doc....As much as I love Maicos, that Maico 50 is butt ugly. How about a bit of beauty from the other end of the grunt scale. Klub Kevlar Kalifornia representative Marsh Runyons  C&J framed XR1000 Harley.

:D Firko you talk of butt ugly and then go post that hideous pic!  No dissrepect to anyone but beauty is quite obviously in the eye of the beholder  ;)

Oh so true Doc. Beauty is indeed in the eye of the beholder. I have to say though that while Marshes Harley isn't the prettiest girl in the class it's far from what I'd regard as hideous. Anyone who's actually seen the bike in the flesh will tell you that it's an absolute work of art. The more one looks at it, the cooler it is. I agree however that it's not everyones idea of a beautiful bike. It's a love/hate thing. No middle ground. Sadly the big guy has retired it and retired from motocross. He's building a blown KB powered 53 Studebaker salt lakes racer now. Not bad for a 6'7" 70 year old one legged legend.
