I dunno, Steve McQueen seemed pretty cool to me as a kid but it was the big fella on an SL350 that took no shit from Indians! ;) Sons of Katie Elder I always thought but that was made about 1965 so now when I think back it couldn't have been this movie ;) a mighty picture of a mighty dude regardless.8)

Three legends of the screen but I still think Steve McQ was waaay the coolest.
I reckon he'd be into VMX if he was still with us.

Anyway, here's Charlton trying to keep up... give it away Charlton.

The Duke was cool but Chuck Heston was a self righteous, gun totin' facist crazyman compared to my own boyhood hero (despite his own implement of destruction)...Anyone over 40 would have to remember the brilliant Roy Rogers, husband of the delicious Dale Evans and pilot of the smarter than smart, Trigger. I've still got my plastic Roy Rogers Colt 45 that my mum got me for Christmas back in '57 or '58 after sending in six Kelloggs Cornflakes box tops and 5 shillings. How blokey does Roy look with that CB77 and Winchester ?

I dunno John Travolta is a Scientologist but a pretty cool dude, he recently paid for, restored and flies a old Lockheed Constellation painted up in QANTAS colours.Has a 'fly in' house with a hangar choc-a-block with toys.Nobody could accuse Ewan McGregor of being a nancy boy. I think Chuck still IS a red neck, gun loving etc etc

Charlton Heston is DEAD, so the question begs to be answered, did they pry the gun from his "cold dead hands"?

Dont be scared 390 Ross, the lady might be a good shot(you won't feel a thing)
If she is accurate with her shooting as she is with her words you could be 6 foot from her without any risk of been shot. ;D

Typical polly.

A mate of mine has that original Steve McQueen picture blown up to the FULL SIZE, that's right, life size, and has it laminated to his office door. How cool is that, it's gotta be seen to be believed.

Watched the end of the Great Escape (again) the other day, with Steve banging round the hillsides on the Triumph. But I reckon he also plays the German rider who overshoots the turn onto the side road, does a 270 deg turn and rips off up the road....same body english.   ;)
Nostalgia's not what it used to be....

yeah it's him, the DVD I have has a "making of" special included. He basically did all the riding except the jump.
