Front number plate mounting
« on: August 01, 2021, 12:09:12 pm »
I need to mount a new number plate to the Ktm but need a bracket or brackets of some sort to fix to the 38 mm forks and then to the back of the number plate. Have found some nice CNC machined one in USA but will cost a bit to post over. Have spent a bit of time on partzilla looking through various makes and models but not found any yet.can anybody remember or think of a bike that would have used something like this, don’t want to just zip tie through the plate and around the forks.

Take a trip to your local plumbing supplies or hydraulics supplies like Reese and talk to them about pipe saddles  and saddle clamps. The choices are massive. Rubber lined SS or nylon blocks for a cleaner look.

Go to a hardware store (Bunnings etc) & buy some "tool clips", they are spring clips designed to hold shovel/rakes etc. screw or rivet them to the front plate, then use an o'ring on the back of them. They work & look a treat.
