Fantastic job Tony. be a shame to get her dirty but that's what they're for.

Couple of questions,

- are the footpegs the ones you find on evilbay and stamped with a # number (do you remember the vendor) & did they bolt straight up ok to the original H footpeg mounts?

- I've seen a lot of H's with a G intake joint and the Energy Induction system removed.  What's the pros & cons of the YEIS? (no doubt been a thread on this at some stage?)

woody, I just picked up some new pegs off ebay for my 125C project, they'll need a bit of work to fit that, but to get them onto the  250H (or similar), all you need to do is trim 5mm-ish off the width (from the tubung section of the peg), and cut and rebend the return spring (easier said than done, hey Tony )

These come with new pins, springs etc, so a pretty good deal methinks.

As far as footpegs go I have since worked out that you can buy the PW50 ones off ebay and the bolt straight up using the original springs etc - $25 or so from memory - delivered    Search for PW50 footpegs 

There is some theory that there is no lag when you get back on the power after backing off with the boost bottle.  From what I have seen so far it seems to work.  Motolink in Pommoland makes these and they seem to be a good product.

Rode it at CD7 (after I sorted out the gear lever so I could get to second gear    )  Definitely a rider

thanks guys, I like the look of those 85 pegs Mainy but dunno if I could be forked re-manufacturing them. they seem to have an extra curly bit on these protruding from the bottom of the mount area. good price and look great, a bit like these ones;

thinking about getting some of them pw50 footpegs for my yz125h, look like they would go stright on?

The first photo Woody put up is what I did for the 250.  Was a lot of buggerising around (Thanks Mainline for modifying the springs ).

The second photo go straight on - no drilling out mounts or grinding or mucking around with springs.  The look as solid as the other ones.  I put them on the 50.  So easy and definitely the way I would go.  In fact I have bought a pair of those for my 125 project.  On top of all that they are cheap as chips  .  New springs are also way cheaper.

You did a grate job, but vintage bikes never had pipes like that.  take that crap off, then ride it hard so the pipe turns blue (works pipe)   Who makes the pipe?

Ha Ha.  Tell us what you really think Ditcher.  Chromed the pipe for a reason.  Would have preferred to leave it as it was, but the weather where I was living at the time didn't allow.  Pipe made by GMC. Fitted beautifully no problems.
