I know it has not much to do with VMX , but then again it does .We are not invincible and most of us are well over 50.As from next week , things are definitely on . This clip opened my eyes about hygiene and prevention. Please feel free to share with as many as you can . https://www.facebook.com/anna.luen/videos/2972807166096253/UzpfSTEwMDAwMzY1MjkyNjMxNjoxODkyODkxMjg3NTA5Mjg0/

The great thing about this post for me, is I have been religiously wearing my gloves whilst greasing both Bultaco and tandem trailer wheel bearings, so for me washing my hands properly is a forgotten talent I have. Normally my hands are covered in grease when doing this job (the bearing packers help but I still manage to get it everywhere!!

I am sure Walter and all of us are trying to help each other and lighten the atmosphere and keep us all occupied when isolated

Thumbs Up!

Would be good to see Australians adopting social distancing and other rules lot quicker than they do and be more considerate to "flatten the curve". Went to shop the other day and apart from seeing empty shells there was a mum with four children roaming around half empty supermarket. Do you really need a whole family to go and get milk and bread? Talked to my friend in Slovakia and she said that you will not be allowed  in supermarket unles you are wearing facemask. Other than that shops are well stocked, you can buy as much as you need. Schools been closed for 3 weeks now. Only around 300 people infected. Big manufacturers such as VW, Peugeot/Citroen, Land Rover/Jaguar, Kia etc have closed their plants for now. Employers pay you 60% of your average pay to stay home. Very little casual employment there. Here we are arguing about when we are going to close schools. A bit sad.

i reckon in today's age of "its all about me" mentality this is true. had this happen 30 years ago it would have been different.

the dick-head you asked to stand back is a prime example of "its all about me... fork you i will do as i want"

I was sent home from work on Thursday because I had a headache. There was 3 others sent home at the same time for having a headache. The manager was running back & forth to the owner of the business trying to find out what was the right thing to do. The trucks at work have 3 people squashed in the cab shoulder to shoulder. The toilet at work is that small you have 2 loos and a pee tray and 2 sinks all within in 2 meters of each other. There is around 40 workers in the factory. jimson

Very strange times.
I feel very lucky to have just gotten home from hospital after back surgery. The way things are going all non-urgent elective surgeries are going to stop so despite being in serious pain I could have missed out, not something I even won't to think about. The private hospital I was in was already preparing with 2 wards shut down and being setup for virus patients and staff being re-trained in ventilator and protective clothing use. Visitors were being discouraged to enter the hospital and children not allowed at all. Won't be long before we see armed guards at the doors of hospitals.
Still in the back of my mind and will be for another week is the possible risk of having court the virus while in hospital as it would only take a nurse or one of the cleaners or catering staff to un-nowingly spread it to the whole ward.
Don't have to worry about work yet as it will be a month or so before I can return to even light duties, lucky my boss(me) is very understanding.

all of whats going on is going to get alot worse before ever getting better, here some are still having parties and bbq's,young adults still driving around with 3 or 4 in the car, standing in the streets in big numbers close together talking and dont seem to concerned of whats happening, they just havent caught on and still think its like catching a common cold.worst thing for us is that we are going out of summer and into our cold season which the virus thrives on.stay safe everyone and stay home,do those jobs down the shed you couldnt find time to do,phone a mate instead of seeing him

Not much on the supermarket shelves yesterday, so I decided to improvise.
Dinner last night was a risotto I made with some mushrooms I foraged for locally.
Not only was it delicious, but soon after a Welsh male voice choir of purple elephants
showed up and sang the whole of Meatloaf's Bat Out of Hell album, accompanied by spectacular light show.

Everyday I find one more name to add to the list of people who piss me off.
