Why is this woman still Premier of NSW?  If she refuses to stand down her health minister and or get rid of the person responsible for letting these 2700 odd passengers off that cruise ship then she has to go.
These arseholes by releasing the passengers, and rushing them through customs, have indirectly caused the death of innocent Australians.  All because of their incompetence and failure to follow the rules.  I watched an interview tonight with a bloke who just lost his wife because NSW health did not do the right thing, hard to watch.
But I suppose some won't agree with me and will be happy to let thing sort themselves out, the trouble is these parasites always seem to be able to find a way to keep their jobs and stuff everyone else.
Anyway how are you blokes handling the lock down?  At 70+ I find that it is certainly the smartest option for me and there are worse things to do than playing in the workshop everyday.  Hope all on here and their families get through this okay.
My grandson said to me today, if this virus was transmitted to humans from animals, then why can't it be spread to all other animals from us?  Sobering thought.

Someone sent me this clip on the virus . I first thought it was another conspiracy theory , but the longer I watched it , the more it makes sense.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aBCiwPTwE2k&feature=share&fbclid=IwAR3AFuBn8ESuaPSCG05cQ87RGNn0XFe8e6xVrkY7S6SewgSri6scL12LCls

Hi  Walter, that site won't open, maybe it's not politically incorrect, it will probably turn up again from a different source.

Actually it seemed well researched . It questioned the global distribution of the virus and the possible impact on the american elections and the western following downturn. It is a fact , the Chinese offloading lots of gold at the moment and buying lots of cheap Western shares with the proceeds...... A pretty clever takeover without firing a shot .... The sad thing is we have to take party of the blame . We wanted cheap products , we deserted our industries, we now have bought politicians or even more bluntly , we have Chinese politicians here that orchestrate the local sellout .

There is going to be some terrible economic fall out from this pandemic.

Hopefully some good will come as well. I would not be surprised if many of us become willing to pay more for “Australian made” in the future. Perhaps the advantages of manufacturing things here, might overcome the higher cost for some more products. (Post WW2, with car parts from OS in short supply, the government of the day announced “Australian Made Cars”)

Masks and other medical PPE spring to mind.
Several politicians should be executed each year until we have Australian Oil refineries again.

It will be hard for Australia to recover from this. The biggest industry here is travel and holiday. It will take a while for visitors to come back and the government will make it harder when it comes to turist visa applications(health checks, vaccination etc may be required for visitors). Even if restrictions are lifted people will not just jump on planes and go to see Uluru. They will be happy to find a job. Was a bit ironic watching news today as they had a plane from Wuhan delivering hospital equipment to Australia. China is making money already.Sad

With our low covid numbers and best health system in the world why wouldnt you want to travel here for a holiday. We all love it.

Just because it was the biggest industry doesn't make it the best for our country. We've been selling everything to foreigners for far to long. We need to be more self sufficient and get back into making things. We need to stop the prostitution of our country and make a manufacturing revolution. Now is the time for our leaders to create a new chapter in Australia. jimson

There will likely never be a better time to head back towards manufacturing. Lots of people prepared to support Australian Made I suspect.
We need to sell our stuff world wide. We need the reputation: “Not cheap, but the best there is”.

A series of spineless governments sold our great country out. The best Coal in the world goes off shore and sold at rock bottom prices. Our Natural gas also gets sold for less than what Australians can get it for. Our steel industry, our Fuel industry has been nobbled so we need to buy our improved export of ore back . That doesnt make economic sense
To make Australia great again we need a politician with balls . Balls to say NO to overseas investments and a buy back of our now foreign owned investments.. New Zealand  seen China extending its grasp and stopped them so why cant we?
Its about time we took control of the corrupt water management and started repairing the Murray Darling system and the great Artesian  low levels and start work on the Bradfield scheme to channel the excess flow from the Northern QLD rivers back over the range and down inland QLD to NSW and so on and make that land arable and value add it. The infrastructure and support business created is what we need, Infrastructure for the inland. The US did it in the great depression and isnt that what we see i front of us now with so many out of work and  closed business? The Big picture needs someone interested in Australia not their own retirement fund.
Australian made from sweat and tears. Thats something to be proud of. Maybe we could even make cars again.

Well said. We need to embrace (value add), that is where the multiplifier effect creates real long term growth

Hi Everyone,

Well said Pokey, I couldn't agree more with what you have just said!

Just my opinion but the first thing we need to do is send the Pandas back to China, correct me if I am wrong but it used to be $1 000 000 per year per Panda! When you add the 3 off them together in a deal where surprise surprise we CAN NOT OWN THEM! Just doing simple maths over the years that we have had them, it would reduce our foreign debt/ deficit substantially!

Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against Pandas and they must be great for tourism, but if we are not having anyone visit our Great Country, we simply CAN NOT AFFORD THEM! Like you said we need someone with BALLS and stop doing these deals that are not good for us! Can't we video them before they go back and have a virtual display?

OK, someone else's turn on the Soap box.

OK, someone else's turn on the Soap box.

Sky hasnt fallen,Pandas are tucked in for the winter weather & WA keeps pumping out Coal power and Iron ore.
Tourisms starting to get on track with plenty new gov bale out $$.
Its given us time to reproritise and clean out the shed/house.
Big events have been cancelled ,though crews are ready to roll when we get the go ahead.
Ride park days are proving popular.
Get stuck in your still breathing. 8)
