Ohlins XJS1300 shocks revalve possible?

Anyone have experience re-valving road bike shocks. Of course springs will need changing but wondering if its possible to make them work?  Cheers

Yes. You can revalve and respring. All ohlins shocks (36mm) use same internals and various shims for on road of road use. Only problem you may have is that shafts and bodies may be too short on road bike. You would have to replace bodies and shafts plus respring and revalve for MX use.

I assume then , that you get your Harley donor base for free , then purchase new springs , shafts , needles, shims, eyelets etc to suit your chosen model , right ?

Are there any better options for that money? $700 incl GST  for threaded preload , damping adjustable , extreme hardy steel bore , fully rebuild able, tested and used by winning teams.  Anyway back to the original question . I would like to see the outcome and end price of that project .It is always good to see what people are doing .

  I regards to the Yamaha Ohlins. I have been told that they are not built to the same standards as the 

   Competition Models.  In saying that they can be up graded.    Depending on the aplication.

   Stacker Motorcycles or Radars Shock Service could help.

I assume you actually mean XJR 1300 and not XJS ?   In order to help you, can you tell us what bike you are intending them to fit to . I do have the relevant info on the XJR 1300 ( not XJS )

Maybe some people prefer Ohlins  shocks more than YSS shocks regardless of the price ?
