At this stage it's only the 2 x 30-39 age groups & side cars. There is not a women's class due to no entries. All others are good to go for Aus titles.

That is great.

Hi guys,
I’m out at the Ararat track this weekend as my boys are racing the Western Regions being held here. The club has presented us with a very well prepared track and facilities, for all those that have entered I’m positive you will be glad you did as this track will be awesome to race on. I look forward to watching the Aussies at this place, see you in 2 weeks.  Peter.

And a very good meeting you did miss.

Just got back to Sydney from the best, most stress free race meeting I’ve ever been to. The Classic Scrambling Club did a fantastic job running this event. They ran 50, yes 50 four lap races on the Saturday and another 25 on Sunday. A huge effort considering a water truck was used for keeping the dust at bay. Perfect track all day Saturday and even better on Sunday. Constant emails updating the entrants on rider lists, race number availability, advice and final instructions were never a problem for Frank DeRose.

Well done Frank and his small crew, it was great.

We took 8 bikes to see 5 of them back in the trailer very early Saturday and some great results with the other 3.

Highway patrol just out of Beaufort didn't slow you up too much then.
If you love it, lube it.

Haha Lucky they weren’t the fun police. I would have been jailed
I removed the number plate ( reason for pullover) as we hit it with a bike unloading and it was about to fall off. I show it to the officer and tell him the situation and I don’t want it to fly off and injure anybody. He says good thinking and enquires about the bikes and where we’ve been. I tell him our results and where at and he says well done, on your way and have a safe trip. Lovely blokes

Good one. Everyone slows to 40 k's now in Vic when passing an emergency vehicle with lights on so we get a good look.

I was pulled up for 20k's over on the New England on the way to last years State of Origin. He saw the bikes in the back and asked where I was off to.  Told me I had about 5 hours to go and he would review the booking. Haven't heard anything.
If you love it, lube it.

Just a small error with the name of the club hosting the event.

All credit for the work leading up to the weekend & everything that went into the event, goes to Scrambling Victoria Inc. and the Ararat MCC.
An excellent three days of riding & racing.

Apologies. I should have checked but it was 3am after driving from the track back to Sydney.

Anybody hosting a race meeting would benefit from talking to these fellas. Fantastic event

A big thank you to the guys who put together Scrambling Victoria Inc. just to run this event, and to everyone from the Ararat MCC and others who did such a fantastic job of making this a stress free and super fun meeting. There are a lot of unsung heroes out there supplying bikes ( Phil Scott 16 bikes!!!!!, ) and sponsorship keeping this title meeting alive for the rest of us to enjoy. It's great that next year is already announced at Harrisville in Qld on August 30/31, so we can plan our holidays now for the big drive north. Can't wait to do it all again.
