I may not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it.

Yep, apparently a throw-away engine/mower is better for the environment than one which is almost infinitely repairable/reliable.

On another note, how many toes were lost testing that prototype?

I don't think that's right some how. I haven't seen a new 2 stroke victa mower for a few years & Briggs & Stratton make 4 stroke engines. I'm still using an old 2 stroke victa mower. Jimson

I have always had 2 stroke Victa mowers.
Recently got a EGO 56V Lithium Ion mower.
It seems at least as powerful as the old Victa was and is a much better mower.
I won't go back to petrol now.

Victa Did come a Long way from a Back yard in melbourne .
My Dad is in to Old Motors and Victa Mowers is only One of he things too
and I help him out at rallies and the Nats  yes they Do have machine Nationals

The First Victa   " The Peach Tin Mower " or "The Toe Cutter""

Peach Tin was used as a Petrol Tank ..Victa used a Hurricane Engine made by Villes  but could not take the hard Oz Heat .
so Victa started making the Engine Him self and the rest is History ..

Most People think that the Victa 18 was th first Mower that Mower was the 4 model I think ..

Like Mark I have been using a battery mower in the yard for a couple of years now, its just too easy.

Have the ride on for the rest of the place though.

But it is sad to see our icons fading away.

Lucky for Australia we have plenty of people who know how to dig holes in the ground, otherwise Australia wouldn't have anything to sell the world other than large parcels of productive land!

Hi Jimson, I know your only taking the piss ;D

Although Lithium is a finite resource, the world reserve of this resource is quite substantial.
And guess what region has nearly a quarter of it. I think WA has a lot going on there with Lithium?

We currently produce 36.8 % of world demand.
