any one used JBS shocks

was thinking of holding the rear end up on my 1975 TS185 with them or am I wasting my time and money/ not raceing just commuting, as they are only around $100 smackers and they say ISO 9001 compliant ???

I've got a set on my yellow tank cz250  I only trail ride it not race and there doing the job OK.

Ive just bought a set for an xl250s for $90 a pair on ebay( make an offer ) plus postage and they worked just fine with my son riding it , I also had a ride and thought they were pretty good for trail riding

how times have changed! I remember as a kid no money all the oil and dampening gone we would drill a hole in the shocker body tap a thread poor motor oil in (probably old sump oil) put in a bolt and away we'd go,
auto chain and pants oiler :o ;D but it worked

ISO 9001 only means that they have a documented set of procedures for running the business. It has no bearing on the quality or suitability of the end product or service.

Those shocks have under 50 mm of shaft travel...

yeah cheep and nasty you get what you pay for in shocks but proberly abit better then the 30-40yo shocks on your bike now ;)

Must be different to the ones I got mine have 110mm travel and they were cheap enough to take a punt on especially on a $350 dollar bike made up of left over bits.

This will be a great source of comfort for me when I'm performing a triple backflip or hitting a 2m high log at a bazillion km/h on a TS185ER  ;D.

I had some similar cheapo shocks (not JBS) on my PE175 for a while and they weren't too bad though I did eventually bend the shaft on one of them. These JBS thingies would probably be ok for trailies such as my DT125 though...

Yep always looking to save a buck so it can be spent on more bike bits elsewhere, and yer the shocks will = the amount I paid for the bike ATM,  ;D

That sounds better than the ones I looked at. Have you a model number or description?  I paid over a grand for some Racetech shocks and am underwhelmed...
