Sorry to have missed your last post peely.
Got my kits from both local, (5 hr round trip away) Honda, and Yamaha dealers. The name on pack says, BOLT.
There are various size packs, and also made to suit your model. These kits are for later model bikes . I did see a while ago a vintage style bolt kit, unsure if it was Bolt, or some other mob, who sold them

I ended up with Hagons.  Haven't tried them yet, but they were cheaper than works performance.

They need to be slim <64mm to avoid clashing with other moving bits.

KB has them on a bike of his and reckons they work fine.

There's thread on here .... somewhere ....  ;D

Thanks for the info, I hadn't heard of Hagons before. I will check them out, and try and find the thread on them.

My frame is missing the rear hoop that sits above the rear fender. Anyone know where I could source one of these from?

for the frame loop you could get someone to bend up a tube.  I could send you a wire pattern and some dimensions off mine if that would help.  Not sure how many frames are around anymore.  I've heard lots of stories about them cracking in various places.

Makes for interesting reading.  These poor old girls have been flogged all their life (and continue to be  8) ), so it's not surprising they are getting knocked around  :o

G'day fellas,

In the last cupla months I have been working on the old girl to get her restored. All is going well, except for locating a inner clutch basket. I bought one from the US however it was off a 1974 cr125m and unfortunately the inner spline didn't suit the 1975 shaft. The 75 was slightly larger in diameter with *correction 19 teeth compared to the 74 which had 17. If anyone can assist in locating one suitable that would be awesome!!!

That's how Hagon's are Rosco ;), Looks good Peely, You have taught us another difference between The M & the M1 with the clutch hub, I notice your swingarm has very similar     mods to my swingarms on my 125 & 250 M's, I wonder if some one done a kit or they were just fabbed up, both my swingarms also had the shock mounts moved forward, thankfully they did not touch the upper mounts on the 125 but they did on the 250, luckily they just added on new ones further forward & left the old ones intact, a quick fix with a grinder & back to stock, it was very common mod BITD ;) :)

Yes Ross, I believe I have orientated the shocks the correct way, good pickup though ;)

Yes Smed, I've always wondered whether it was a backyard job or not?? I'm assuming it was inspired following the later model bike I.e 76 with very similar swing arm design. Yes was contemplating taking it off but thought it holds a talking point and is unique in its own way ;)

Historically the old man bought the 125 in his late teens for a box of beer and was used and abused by everyone, so it was about time someone gave her some well deserved love!!!

Hi all,

Been meaning to get on here and sign off this project that I completed at the end of 2016. Big thanks to everyone on here for the advice and contacts, without you I would still be working on the old girl. "Red Alert" thanks so much for your solid effort on the tank, it came up amazing and is the centre of attention. I don't plan on riding the Cr in the dirt, a couple of laps up and down the driveway each month is what she deserves.
