Thanks Woody, mine is 15cm too. Here's the twin Air application chart, look for 152400.
http://www.twinair.com/worldwide/images/stories/Twin_Air_Application_Guide.pdf

But don't buy one, it won't fit...

Digga, Woody, what do you make of this?

NU-2245ST from Uni Australia is the green and yellow one for the IT175G that I am using now.
NU-2245ST from Uni Filter US is a black and red one for the YZ/IT 250/465 (and IT175G/YZ125G?)
NU-2247ST from Uni Filter US is a black and red one for the IT175G/YZ125G

All very strange, I am now thinking there ARE two possible cage/filter combos for the 175G.

Here's the 2245ST green/gold one:

BTW, I also use the yellow one (2245 ST) without the second layer & it fits OK then  ;)

Yes, I've now bought a 2247ST so fingers crossed it's a goer. Uni US shows the 2245 for the 250/465 and the 2247 for the 125/175.  I think Twin Air are mistaken in their application, so my advice is don't buy one for the 125/175...

Re: the hole.

YZ125G (and presumably H) filters are held in by the cage, via two wingnuts on the OUTSIDE of the airbox (on the carby side). So they're not meant to have the conventional single hole.

The good thing about telling the truth is that you don't have to remember what you said.

Nath, that's the 250/465's,  the 125's definitely have the single bolt mount at the top of the filter inside the airbox. Macca, the 2247ST will fit.

Correct Woody
Someone had wrongly fitted a 250/465 into my 125G & it was a dog's breakfast  ::)

Now that I have got a 175G box in there with the right cage etc, all is good  ;D ;D ;D

Couldnt find an NOS or 2nd hand 125G one anywhere, so the 175G was a winner (exactly the same)

I had two 125Gs with the two bolt/250 style air filter set ups in them.
Maybe a mid-year change?

This could explain why the filters are wrong.

Those bikes must have been modded by the prior owners to take the 250 cages. The same airbox carried through to the H roller that I had.

Mind you Woody, going by that diagram the H airbox must have been slightly different - check part #18. That suggests the cage retaining strap inside was made to be less difficult to manoeuvre the cage over....

Yeah that shows the thread in the plastic disc bit is a bolt, mine all have a pressed in brass thread and the bolt sticks out off the retaining hoop in the air box

Yep.

Definitely some weird stuff with those G/H airboxes! Well, let's see how this Uni filter I bought goes. I'll try to return the Twin Air filter and point them at this thread if I get any issues, but the seller would be right to say that Twin Air have marked the item as IT175G/H so how would he know any different?

I took a look at several G and H  air boxes, both for YZ125s and IT175s, that I have and it confirms that there are two different lock nut styles. G's thread onto a fixed bolt coming out of the box bracket and H's have a threaded arrangement as per #18 above.

In either case, the cage and hence the air filter are the same.
