That's Robz Ridez would be very careful with it unless you can go have a look in person.
I got a ktm off him and it sure wasn't as he told me it was when it turned up.

There was a nice CR 250 78 model just sold on ebay for 3600 and it was ready to go, makes this one look a bit dear.

I bought a 400 maico off him, last year, he told me a load of bull shit, and the engine was seized too, buyer beware.

Wow .. and I thought I was the only one.  I purchased a YZ from him and aside from the fuel tank being the wrong one, although it didn't matter as it was split in half anyway, the gearbox being completely seized to the point the chain had to be removed to make it move, the engine cases full of bog to repair the damage then painted to look clean and original, the clutch basket broken in two amongst a litany of other smaller problems ... it was a great bike .... yeah right.  Just a junk yard dog tarted up.

As I mentioned in another thread somewhere else. definitely buyer beware with this seller

According to the description of that Husky it shouldn't be much of a project, too bad the seller's credentials don't seem so good.

Yesterday at our end of year practice day a member was having a lot of issue with a RM370B he'd bought recently, said the bike had been sold as a rider but when he got the thing was nipped up, coil failing and a host of other issues. Had already had the engine out and practically rebuilt the thing top to bottom, when I asked who he bought it from I wasn't surprised to hear "Robs rides" mentioned  ::)
THE SEXMAX.....coming soon to an Evo race near you!!! Lining up right along side the soon to be released TEDMAX!!!

I know I did. His responses were not very good but I did keep at him for a while and managed to get another tank sent ... however it was an old long range tank, no brand name, not off the bike, no filler cap and a non-fitting fuel tap .. just what you need on a YZ with our 3 lap races  ::) ::) ::)

To his credit he did throw in $50 as a part refund with the promise he would look for parts on his next trip to the USA  ::) ::). I almost missed the $50 as he didn't tell me he was doing that .. instead the tank arrived and I almost threw it out without even opening it properly ... it was taped underneath the tank .....

Now that I think about it .... I am only assuming the $50 was for me .. might have just been a mistake I guess .. probably just fell out of his pocket as he was wrapping the tank and stuck to the tape?

::)

On my it400f, we some how missed the broken front brake tab on the magnesium hub ($20 to repair) and the broken clutch bracket on the engine case ($80 to repair). The engine had to be removed to repair to under take the welding.
The swingarm was seized, which is what I expected given the age of the bike. I can deal with these issues. He mentioned the steering head bearings need replacing. Which was correct. This is a straight forward job for me.

In the future, I will ask for youtube type videos and want to hear the engine run.  This will help a lot.

I would not rule out buying from him again.

Has anyone gone back to the seller with the list of problems?

When I was looking at the bike I rang him and asked him a lot of specific questions.
1 Does it have any missing Fins   -   No there are no fins missing
2 How are the wheels                 -   The wheels are in good condition

I took he could have missed the missing fin as it was the very bottom one and I didn't notice to I had a really good look at the cylinder
The wheel obviously was buckled and some one has pounded it straight with a metal hammer.

The rest of the bike is quite ok, frame is straight and not smashed up am happy with it.
Learnt my lesson make sure you look at or get someone you trust to have a look before you shall out the dollars.

He has a husky xc 430 auto as well which it says has just stopped running needs a coil would be a very nice project bike.
I don't think you could take the risk though.

never had a problem
bought 3 bikes and heap's of hard to find bits including a 500 husky motor over the last few years
vintage bike's or any bike hold your breath when you buy second third fourth or fifth hand
I must say that he has the best original canvasses so you can paint the picture or get a specialist like big K to build it for you how you would like it that's what your paying for its called 'original patina'
hey mick you wont be disappointed had my eye on that one for a while , even had a squirt around the carpark on it , from memory I think the shocks pogo  ;) and you can ride with us husky mountain men

maybe a trip to gloucester for those boy'z really know how to throw a party ps dont mention dungog (must be some old footy rivalry)

His prices don`t equal his description on the bikes that he is selling, which becomes over expensive bike to start with. and he is looking for a killing, and thats ripping people off.
