I agree Shaun, it'd be great to see a class like that. It would be somewhat comparable to the actual TBC races - similar setup etc, just showing the differences over 20-30 years. Imagine the Legends on Pre 90 bikes with the right setup?

I spoke to Troy about the classes last year at the Brisbane Ekka meeting we rode. He said he was thinking of adding a pre 90 class and having 2 classes but for whatever reason it didn't happen.
I think it would be great alongside Evo to add the pre 90 class and allow 19" wheels,  it would definitely attract a few name riders and those bikes would be awesome around there. .

The 2015 TBC was featured on"Flat Track Radio"hosted by flat tracker Cory Texter,who also did an interview with Troy Bayliss in "Cycle World"(both can be found on the net).He spoke to Jared Mees,as well as Troy for half an hour.Jared had plenty of good things to say,he seemed surprised at the speed of all the riders,with special mention for Paul Caslick,commenting that this "old guy"was on the pace,coming 3rd in the TBC.
All good promotion for next year.I had an idea that might be worth considering,how about having some racing on Friday night,I know it would take some doing,but a lot of the spectators I spoke to,had travelled a fair way,and were staying for a couple of days anyway.I go to a few airshows,and a lot of them have practice and a twilight show on Friday,which is open to the public(I met Geoff Ballard and his wife at Omaka NZ in2013,his father was a Kittyhawk Pilot). With the coverage in the US,there is potential for spectators making the trip to Australia,and having a 2 day event may bring people over.The Airshow at Omaka goes for 3days,and attracts 35,000 spectators,to a town with 8,000 residents!

There have been some good ideas stated here, but unless Troy himself or someone organising the meeting gets to here about these ideas, what is the point.

Linking to another event is worthwhile and could attract support from the NSW Government.  Queensland has EventCorp that can support promotions, I'm sure NSW would have something similar.

The idea of forums is to get some feedback on ideas
Nothing for next years TBC will happen soon
But I expect a few Internationals for next years Vintage Class

I’d like to see the TBC to be as the MoMS. 1 x classic class and 1 x Post classic class, I’m sure some of the legends would fill the spots on 500 2 strokes. Vintage riders with 2 bikes could get 2 rides, throw a couple of yanks into the mix. All on sticky 19"s.

Whats wrong with this idea apart from the EVO’s become the disadvantaged bikes in that race like any Pre 78’s are in the current format?
If the rule book for our sport is Classic (Pre 78) and Post Classic ( Evo to Pre 90) isn’t that the logical way to grow our showing at this Pretigous event.

All good to try and improve. Thing is, i know people who raced in Legends and the classic class this year -neither are rich enough to be buying new bikes for an event. The last thing they need is for the format to be stuffed around with and not know whats what till two months before the event. TBC seems to be the most successful DT event growing in Nationals that i know of. Looking forward to spectating next year.

Just checking my photos ( the usual 1000) from the TBC,the "best Transporter"has to be "THE BUS",WA Rego with the extended radiator,and wired on overflow bottle,and other accessories,those blokes should have got Tony's Knighthood,just for driving it from WA!
I have a photo of it,but can't work how to put it on the forum from the I Pad,nearly ready to resort to the hammer,it used to work in the old days.

To put photos on the forum you have to have something like a photobucket account.  So you can just link to the photo on that site.  The forum hasn't got enough space to up-load images to it.  I think there is a section in here that can show you how to do it. The Troy Bayliss Classic was featured on RPM today on ONE,will be repeated at4am tomorrow morning,so set the recorder,or watch it before you milk the cows.

Troy has hung up the WSBK leathers after the Thai round,with a 9th and 11th in very hot conditions,not a bad effort for an old bloke!
