Posting up for a mate who I talked into VMX but has decided he is more into trail-riding and a bit scared of racing  ;D

1979 YZ250F , fully rebuilt from the ground up

Frame stripped and powdercoated.
Swingarm polished up
Forks and shock rebuilt
Seat recovered - gripper cover
tank polished

All new -
Wheel Bearing and brake pads
Spokes
Cables
Grips
Handlebars
tires
swingarm bearings

axles, brackets etc replated
new stainless bolts
DG Pipe and silencer
VMX plastics front and rear guards and number plate, DC sideplates

Engine completely rebuilt from top to bottom

The bike has done one race meet (3 races) and 2 practice days since it's restoration. I've ridden I and it goes very well indeed. Heaps of power but not 'light-switch" as I'd been led to believe anything other than a G or H model was

Comes with a spare 1978 motor for parts. No selector drum, given to Holeshot buddy probably for some illegal thing he was building. Also fork lower legs, CDI, spare cables etc

PM me for contact details if you're keen, bike is in Brisbane.

$3500

Nah got YZ125G and 250G so no need for an F model Paul.  Looks like a nice bike but anything is hard to sell at the moment :)

dont shoot the messenger.
i recently bought a yz125g and 250g the pair $5k
after pleading with the seller (brother in law) to keep them.
both are race ready all work done.
not too long ago these bikes would have sold for $5k each.
i dont know why but it is a buyers market at the moment
