For tires, just get another rear wheel and bolt the front hub to it with some spacers.  Then you can run some modern atv tires.  Check out my post on http://www.2strokeworld.com/forum/index.php?topic=18332.msg138662#msg138662 for the details.  If you want, I have some spacers made, will just charge shipping.

I fought my way to the back of my shed this afternoon and checked the frame/engine number of my RV125. Number is 27922, so by the chart above that would make it a 1974 model.

Mine is yellow the same as your so there must have been a few yellow 74 models come to Aust.

I will follow your resto, it may just shame me into doing something with mine.

I liked the exhaust exiting from under the mid-section of the pipe in front of the rear wheel.

The fumes were coming out of the seams of the pipe,,,looks like the muffler is blocked.

There is a half blanking plate on the exit of the rear pipe.

Can you cut off the muffler section and repack??

I should of taken a pic of the gear oil when I drained ,,,it looked like liquid milk chocolate

The clutch is jammed but I did ride down the street and shifts gears ok

The exhaust should be similar to the 185. removable repackable baffle. there is also a plug for draining whatever liquid gets in (yeah dropped my 90 in the surf one day)  right where the smoke was exiting on yours.

That'd do It toolboy. I don't think anyone makes exhaust plugs in that shape.

Ive started spraying everything in my bike hospital with a mixture of water and citronella oil as the mongrels get into everything.

Good excuse to burn the muffler clean. I'll keep a look out on the horizon for smoke signals

Col

What happened to the racing strip on your front and rear fenders.

The flared front fender on mine is that original?????

Some where back before I got the RV it was given a respray, hence no racing strips on the guards. The flared bottom is correct, again, one of the previous owners modified the guard with a hacksaw by the feel of the cut edge on the guard.
