Yes it is, Pre 78 only with I think Evo support.  This is the 2014 Australian Classic Dirt Track Championships.

The track is decomposed granite, I think about 650 metres long but don't quote me on that. It's on a slight incline - the start gate is on the flat, run about 100 metres into a long uphill left hand sweeper, then another 100m or so of straight to a sharp left hander which leads into a fast downhill right hand kink before carving left back into the uphill sweeper.  The uphill sweeper and the fast right hand kink are great fun. It's a fastish, fun and safe track.

Just a reminder to anyone nearby to Canberra who's thinking of racing the Classic titles, the ACTMCC has a club day on this weekend so you can come on over for a bit of track time. Pre 78 250 and Open, plus Pre 85 250 and Open, and of course Over 35s and All Powers.  Sign on from 7.00 AM and you can join the club/enter on the day.

Forecast is good right now, sunny and max of around 13. The track is in great condition lately too, last couple of practice days it's been brilliant.

I haven't read the whole thread but is this title just for pre 78 bikes and what is the track surface?
its a deco surface John - one of the best tracks around with perhaps the best left in DT I have ever ridden - big call but true. Its a trials rear MX front set up for me with Maryborough gearing. Its also the full pre 78 card.

All we need now are the sup regs? ???
Hopefully there is still a good turnout despite the delay.

So where it says in part 24. Tyres "No knobbies allowed" does this mean only on the rear or is this Temora all over again?

I think that's just the 'standard' wording people use on supp regs and it means no knobby rear tyres.

Anyone wishing to buy a hoodie please note that the prices have been listed incorrectly. At section 5 of the supp regs the price of a hoodie is correctly shown as $55, however on the entry form it is listed as $25. The correct price is $55.

I've just been informed that the ACTMCC and MA have received a few enquiries about classes for Pre 75. As I understand it, the supp regs specify age racing for Pre 75, however a number of people have asked if there will also be 'open' classes for Pre 75. That is, as well as the age classes, there will also be an age open class for the three capacities. The ACTMCC have sought clarification from MA, but it seems likely that approval will be given to add these classes.

This means that in addition to your age class, you can enter the same bike in the same capacity class in an 'all ages' class. For example, a 45 year old with a 1974 CR125 can enter the Pre 75 125 class in both 40-49 years and 'open' classes.

If approval is given, hopefully on Monday, an amended entry form will be issued. Note that to enter the extra class will cost an additional $25. You can send in an entry using the current entry form and add the extra class (together with the correct entry fees), however I'd suggest waiting till the amendment is confirmed.

Enquiries can be directed to Darylene Austin on 0402854414 (between 4:00pm and 8:00pm)
