What sort of money did you pay for the footpegs Brad?

I've got some biggish aftermarket pegs on my 84 YZ, and I love them, but at $100+ per pair it's gonna be a damn long time before I can afford them for (even) the bikes I take seriously as race bikes.

Nathan I was looking at replacing some of my pegs on some of my YZs and my parts man and I thought that newer YZ pegs could fit (about '96 or so) but we never followed through with it. Maybe I should look into it again. The geniune (yz '96) pegs were cheaper than after market and were bigger than the older pegs

Yeah Nathan, these are the expensive ones also, but seeing as the Chinese bikes mold themselves from a crf50 you could get a cheaper set through the china bike route. I shall keep you informed DJ.

I've got yz426f on my 125m1 had to grind 1/4 inch off the pegs and drill the holes out in the frame and they work well. Darcy

DJ,

I haven't tried it myself, but I have heard of others using 01-04 YZ/YZF pegs on early (our model) YZ's.  There is a bit of a difference in the mounting bolt size (probably better to shim the old (smaller) bolt than drill out the metal on the mounting bracket).  There is a bit of fiddling with the spring as well as it is a bit big with 3 turns on it to go inside the old mounting.  Project YZ put '94's on his, but I am told the later ones work better.

Just an idea ............ ::)
Looking for YZ250C parts NOS if possible

For sure! No worse feeling than your feet slipping off your pegs...except maybe going over the bars
