I am well aware of no history no dollars. That's why it and all my bikes will stay with me for my one year old grandson to have in time.
I paid $3,000 for the RM 125. I tipped another 3K into it to make it into what it is now. A very serious, reliable little race bike. Will I get my money back. NO.
I swapped my very low hour 2008 KTM 530 for a mint 1983 KX 500. Probably tore up a few dollars there and then but in time I know which one is rare and collectible.
I am restoring an IT 200 at the moment. Paid $2,500 for it. Will spend double that again on it. Will I get my money back. Definitely not. Some may say expensive, crazy, waste of money, could of done it cheaper themselves.
This " I do it all myself " just doesn't work for me financially or time wise. While I earn double what my guy charges me I will let a professional do what he does best and I'll go to work and do what I do best. This is how I offset the enormous ( to some ) expenditure on my bikes.
There are still people around that appreciate things done properly, as this Honda will reveal. My point was that it ain't that exotic.
