Top day. 8)
Pretty sure half the forum is attending, great to see the sport is alive and well.  8)
Very much like Classic Dirt setup days these Fridays.
Everyone cruizing into there camp spots.Saying gidday to riding mates in relaxed general sort of style,as if they had seen each other last week.
Sign on flowed nicely.
Penrite guys were set and smiling.Veri people had their promoting plot and everyone was happy sharing bike rebuilds/tea cups/jetting issues/ nos plastics finds and lifes other joys.
Once again the swapmeet was spread up the grassed area and into the top pits.
Discovered a big stack of  pre80 REVs and Motorcycle News papers, with classic mx article.
Spent $$$$  8)
Ride day tomorrow

I may not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it.

Always good to see you Tim,who needs power stearing in those great Aussie utes. She turned well with Anthony giving
instructions.
The naked Wasp women looked as good as usual, never a weight change.  :P :)

Arrived at tracks 3pm.MX pits full.Camping full.Public parking full.Speedway full.
The whole show was flowing with traffic controlled between each discipline area.Nice too see mini bikes/pit bike riders helmeted and common curticy in traffic being applied.
Barnzy sailed on by saying, "come on Speedway Spectaculor is on". Off we go with veiwing at a premium.
Three deep with more forum members ducking and weaving from the mud being sprayed off speedway solos and sidecars whoopin around the track.
The smell of castor oil and methanol was such a buzz to end the evening off.Not to mention the amazing array of pre90 bikes .  8)

WOW!!! Spent the day with old /new mates and family. The dirt track/speedway was  fabulous.
The sound and smell of methanol burning Vincent's, 880 V twin JAPS, 500cc Weslakes,Jawas,GM's, JAPS, Goddens etc.
Also witnessed the maiden voyage of Bondy's CR500 waterbottle in a slider. He has done a beautiful job
building this bike. It is a real weapon. Need some big kahuna's to pilot that thing.
The PENRITE BONANZA would have to be one of the premier motorbike events in the country. It is a huge
event. Well done to all involved. Also picked up some goodies (thanks Foss and Herb) and met Alvin and Mia.
Great day!    cheers  Mark

I went up yesterday for a look was a great day.
Hopefully have my KTM ready for next years.
The speedway was great to watch as I haven't seen them for years. Especially the JAP sidecars.

got there today in time to make the red plate ride and we bashed and crashed our way around the hills on great ride, thx to the boys in charge and those on board. we only lost 1 guy and he had redone part of the course somehow?

relived the early mr mx days with 2 laps of the mx course.. ( a wr husky is no bike for the main mx track.. it was either sideways in the ruts or completely bottomed out in the dips).

ripped around the pre 78 for a few laps then slipped over to the road race for a peep

what a great day!

cheers to all the organisers

Top event! There was a great variety of special and rare machinery - and their owners weren't too precious to use them.
Thanks go to the organisers and the volunteer support. Great job.
A bit of a special mention for John Orchard who spent plenty of his own time last night and this morning grooming the MX track - not because he was asked to but because it needed to be done. Its this sort of attitude from all involved towards the event which has made it as successful as it is.

If you haven't made a Bonanza event yet, get there! As Al Cathcart has pointed out....."There's NOTHING like the event and its format anywhere else IN THE WORLD!"
WANTED. Canams;all models,complete or parts.SWM stuff too!

Slider #29/Mark went looking for you today and got a lead to Jody Mason.Nice polite guy dripping with classic DT style. 8) Catch you up another time.

Watched Glen Bell and some other not too shabby riders on the pre90 track, then cruised over to pre78 circuit. We were amazed at the amount of people packing up,with the cost of entry/effort and not riding another full day.(perhaps Easter does that in Vic).
Vinduro guys returned from there ride via GMC headquarters.
Ducked over he hill to see another world- Road Racing, with black leathers and even blacker slicked back hair.Throw in a Dave Russell stunt setup and its all a big roar.
Amazingly full day.

Once again met with more great forum people on Easter Sunday, while sharing vmx banter.
Wishing you all a Happy Easter.
Cheers West Aussie crew.
