NEED HELP ON 3 YAMAHA MOTORS

i have just recived 3 yamaha motors
450-228728 in peices
3j5-00608   in peices
dt1f-123327 complete
can any one tell me what they are

450 is a 1975 - DT250 if you dont need it get onto freaky he has a use for them.

3J5 ?  is that  a yamaha orare you misreading it ? unless its a late model DT or one of them 79 DT 400 F plonkers
Dt1F is from a DT2 1972 series

the barrel has a place for decompresion lifter i think it might be 400cc

450 prefix can also be '74 DT250 (and maybe twin shock '76?). The actual serial number tells you which year, but I can't remember what the change-over number is.
Other way to tell is the cylinder head - '74 has parallel fins, '75 has radial fins.

Speed and Sport shows no matches for 3J5 or 3O5.
305 prefix is LT2, which you wouldn't mistake for a 400cc engine!

Most barrels will have the capacity cast into them, which would help.

1974 cut off is prior to the 20000 numbers so its late 75 build
