Question:
Are these profab triples from aluminium or magnesium ?
If they are alluminium, are they lighter than the original steel parts or just stiffer ?
Sometimes the benefit of aluminium parts are just in our minds ....
Good question Marcus....my particular pair are magnesium but my friend has two set of aluminium ones...36mm and 38 mm and there doesn't seem to be much difference. I'm going to a BBQ at his house on Monday so I'll take mine with me and weigh them all on his accurate lab scales. They're made to replace the flimsy pressed tin early Husky triples, supposedly to save weight and add some rigidity. I personally think it's all bullshit, I'm just using them because they're cool....no other reason
.
