Jim,if you're 100% certain you've been ripped off you should name the person so other forum members(that don't know him) don't get caught out.It never surprises me any more what some folk will do for a quick buck.NAME and SHAME.Dishonest people need to be identified! What will he do if you name him- go to the cops? I don't think so.

In february this year i sold a Honda cr125, to a friend, a club member of the same club and I stored the bike for 3 months, and then i took the bike to a  lismore club meeting VIC as the friend was going to pick up the CR at the club meeting, another member and myself put the bike it the large shed thinking it would be safe, I put the muffler on the work bench next to bike, then i drove home when the friend came the next day to pick the bike up, the genuine elsinore muffler was gone. I was so angry when I heard about it, that I told the club to put a right up in the news letter for that person to return it. it never was return.

I had plenty of little things pinched from the same club.....and never got anything returned...
Arrogance.....A way of life for the those that having nothing further to learn.

To be clear here, Jim's not the person who had his parts stolen and sold so it'd be unwise for him to name names without legal advise. The proper thing would be for the alleged culprit to quietly make things right to the person who was ripped off or failing that,  to explain his actions. It's not up to Jim, me or anyone else to out him any further than what's been done. I won't be long before the fella's identity spreads through the VMX movement.

Sorry Simo I don't want to kick off a flame war. As yo well know these things can easily turn to shit so I don't want to be the instigator. Word will eventually get out but it won't be via this computer.

The fact that the forum member has fessed up that he on sold the parts ( in Jims opening post ) shows remorse .
Hopefully both parties can sort it out between themselves .

Speculation on this forum will just lead to a shit fight and we probably don't need anymore of those on here .

As Firko says its a small community and word will go round pretty quick anyway . No i don't know either party and don't want to know .

Its a sad thing but witch hunting on here wont fix whats past .

I have just read what i have written and it seems all a bit grown up for me  ;D

No witch hunt here but Jim raised this topic for what reason? I think to alert people and maybe vent his disgust a bit?  Whatever his rationale it would be nice to be informed so nobody else gets caught in the same situation.

Also if the information is available then making it public stops the Chinese whispers that a small community might create.

I think that being open and honest is being grown up Bill :)

This is my last post on the subject ........ thankfully I hear you all mutter to yourselves :)

what Jimbo's post is basically about is hoping to prick the guys concience,i went with John the 75year old super senior to pick up the bike from the transportee,(suss middle man),neither at the time knowing about the extras that were specifically allotted to the bike, why they wern't included surprised me as well,(when we found out later),changed my thoughts entirely about this person,we live & learn,i don't think name & shames necessary,i'd guess it's not going to happen again no time soon!!,(a momentary lapse of reason),in a nutshell the  6 speed bully gearboxes were earmarked road race items, thats the worse loss,so forking rare, John lives, breathes race bultaco 24/7,for someone knowingly to deny John those oppotunities alone, thats the tragic part,we can choose our friends, not our family, mick
work, the curse of the racing class!!
if a hammer dosn't fix it,you have a electrical problem!!

I understand your concerns Simo but I I think it should be up to John the bloke who lost his parts as to whether the alleged culprit is outed or not. My moral concern is that all of this is second hand word of mouth information so I feel that the onus on outing the alleged culprit is solely on the shoulders of the actual bloke who was ripped off. He's not a member of this forum but is known to many of us so unless he gives the OK I don't think it's Jims, mine  or anyone else's right to out the guy. We're not privy to what's going on between them.

And before I get outed myself, I haven't forgotten the clutch plates I borrowed from you at the Nats Simo. I just haven't had a chance to get them out of the Cheney yet. My apologies mate but things have been a tad hectic since the Nats. I haven't lifted a spanner in the shed due to all sorts of family situations. I'll try and get to it this weekend mate ;)

Like every one else I have had help by members on the this forum and other forums and I have helped other members as well.
But to say nothing and shelter a low life like him is not going to stop him doing it again.
Out him . Shame him .
It could be you or me next time if we are not told who he is..

Okay so this is a post on a different subject :)

No need to out yourself Mark, you can keep the clutch plates mate.  There were only the two you needed, they were second hand anyway, I don't need a full set and only carry them in case I break one plate but mine are all new so I should be okay for a while unless I get super aggressive on the clutch (not going to happen).

For the trouble it's worth to take them out, please keep them.

Cheers  ;)
