Shed Clean out!
« on: October 22, 2013, 03:42:43 pm »
Hi All

I have just put a deposit on a 2014 Husky TE250 2 smoker:0 Oh hell yes!

Thus I have made a painstaking decision to leave VMX and go trail riding!
1. Cheaper in the long run
2. No bullshit politics that piss me off
3. All my mates ride social, and ride modern! Not including the the awesome lads i met at the numerious VINDURO's over the last 12 months, so i'm tempted to keep the KTM 125 GS unless offered decent $$

Right see below! (Pics to be added tomorrow)

89 YZ 125 W $2400
80 CR 80 $600 (has issues, not selecting 2nd properly, otherwise runs crisp)
84 KTM 125 GS Offers!

Im offering on here first, before i subject to the evilbay!!!!!

You all have 2 weeks grace:)

There is no need to be to critical  Ted, I am sure your grammar is not perfect at times we all make typing errors.

nada i have been doing vmx since about 1989 and came to look at Dargyl in 91. I would never miss a vmx meeting for anything and have done all 9 C/Dirts. However as the body slows down and modern 4 strokes let you trail ride as you get older like you said this becomes an option and probably 10% of vmx riders are going that way you are going. I can now miss meetings and probably have missed my last classic dirt.

Bazza, i'm 33, fit and healthy, i have no reason to quit:) other than politics, my mates are not interested in old bikes (bit silly riding in the bush on your own) and cost!

Major factors are! I'm no mechanic, i can do the basics ok, but i have to pay, to have the hard stuff done (Thanks to Lozza, I am better than I was Ps: i haven't forgotten Loz) and Politics! It's not going in the direction i need it to, so im going in the direction which suites my pocket and my mates:)

So, maybe in the not so distant future, i'll purchase a WHITEY special and come back, but until then, sorry i'm over it!

Happy Days, and stay upright
Cheers
