There is a number on the barrel but it doesn't fit properly some of the fins would have to be trimed to clear the down tube I cant find any numbers on the cases

Looks like an 85 frame, but it has rear shock mounts :o and perhaps an 85 250 motor that someone has tried to fit a 490 barrel to or someone has just fitted a watercooled clutch cover to a 490 motor.

Do all the lower frame mounts match up because 84 & 85 are different?. There is an extra lower mount. Looks like a custom airbox, perhaps a works bike or just a bitsa?
Let's face it some dirt bikes were never meant to be ridden.

All the mounts line up Doubt its a works bike but if the rear has been retro fitted its a good job

I'd say the subframe has been grafted to another frame to suit dutch twin shock and the same with 83/85 500 cylinder. The main frame doesn't look like any Maico frame I've seen, although I've never seen a naked waterpumper 500, saying that I can't see any rad mount points.
The U.S did have 1985 air cooled 500's.

The 365 frame number comes up as a 1985 gm 250

The air cooled barrel from the later bottom end bolts on. Is this a bike you have stumbled onto? I have just bought a similar bike in bits. Is it a blue bike (plastics).
