I reckon the Mt Shadwell track is one of the best old school natural terrain motocross tracks I've ever been to. It's a pity it's lost to the sport.    (Shit it got cold there though...the winter wind blowing off Bass Strait was positively Antarctic .)

Not all lost, the fellow that I bought the suzuki off, his mate owns Mt shadwell now, and he told me that they may open it up again. (Cross the fingers)

Dave - yes I did take that video. The quality was not very good in the first place but lost even more on the transfer to digital. Still, I suppose it is better than nothing. Your events at Mortlake where some of the best run events I have been too and the amount of spectators present was impressive. The tracks were always a blast to ride on but s&*t those volcanic rocks hurt when they hit!

Hey Dave! You sure it 93? I thought i went to the first one in 94 and did every meet there including the last which was a state title. What a blast they were. Pre'80 was pretty new with only expert and novice classes which made the starting grid three rows deep!!! It was after that the Drake told pre80 to F-off which was the start of viper. Ahh the memories!
