Tried a few times Shelpi but Ken is not a 'swinger' or 'outfit' man way too straight for that!!
Old Bike mag is keen and I have written a short "history of sidecarcross" but need some really excellent pics to go with it but they are hard to get.....my piccy takin'sabit shakey, even worse than my grasp of Inglish.
At one time we had up here a Wasp Yam 880,  EML Yam 750 single shock, an EML Norton 850 with torsion bar to sidecar, a Wasp Honda 750/4 and an RM500, first of the light-weights. A very good mix and they were all in good condition but alas no pics.
You will get the odd story in the Brit classic mags from time to time but you can't be too hopefull of such a minority sport. (1%ers)

I reckon you're a bit tough on Ken guys. Running a magazine is often a 'can't please anyone' situation....no matter how much Ken tries to spread the bikes, makes and eras in the mag, there's always a few that will accuse him of bias against whatever bike, discipline or era they're interested in . One bloke was so certain that Ken was biased against Bultacos he withdrew his advertising, cancelled his subscription and got out of the sport ::). Have any of you trolley punters ever actually nominated a particular bike for consideration? Something representative of their eras like the Black Rat or a nice Wasp Yamaha or one of those monster Maico based Zabel EMLs would be interesting to non sidecar readership. When we're so involved in a particular facet of our sport we often think that more people are interested in our passion than what is the real case. Being based in NSW as Ken and I are we haven't grown up with the sidecar culture and it's the same with the US based readership. That's not saying that sidecars don't deserve representation at all, of course they do, it's just a reality that they don't have a strong interest ratio outside of the sidecar mainstream areas. I'll be prepared to write and shoot a piece on a photogenic and/or historically interesting sidecar and pass it on to Ken. Just like it was at school when you had to put your hand up to get picked for the team, lets see some suitable "hands" from the sidecar guys.

I agree Firko and Murray Williams would be the prefect man to do an article on, not just because he is an icon of our sport but he also rides a very nice classic outfit.
We sometimes need to think outside the standard cube too though and an article on sidecars from time to time will boost sale favourably as I know that most of the ASA group ar more keen on their moderns than the older stuff but they would be so keen to get any story on sidecars that they would pick up a copy. The same would apply in the US as they too are starved of sidecar 'hack" stories. It would be a great chance to enhance the base knowledge of the sport also.
So Firko my man, when you come to Wyaralong, bring your big lens and an empty notepad ,we'll supply the tomatoe juice and a little ice....... :o
