I had a friend that was a food scientist a while back.  She did a lot of research into this crap and found that just 1 small can usually took a couple weeks to get all the crap out of the blood system.  Given that munter and a bunch of other poison pushers put out cans with 4 or 5 times the recommended serving I am expecting in a few more years that these companies will disappear after a run of Class Action suits.
Way back when I was running the sx.com forums I used to get a lot of crap from both posters and management about my attitude to this crap.  The common thought was that no matter how bad this crap is for people that since they pumped bucks into the sport we should just STFU and go with the flow.  Fork that - I am of the opinion that unless they can prove it does not harm humans (not forking dogs) then they should not be able to sell it.
Poke that bone back in and wrap it up tight sport - I am racing the second moto.

Yep, the mighty dollar calls the shots doesn't it? So many people and businesses will not rock the boat for fear of losing the dollars, regardless of how dangerous that boat is. I remember Geoff Eldridge had a strong position on tobacco ads in ADB and I think it probably cost him but he stuck to his guns. Good to see someone with that sort of integrity. Not seeing much of that in the sporting world these days.

Funny story, watching Dungey do the TV interview after a recent win and he was bolting down the obligatory Red Bull. He swilled it around his mouth and spat it while the interview was blathering away. It came out clear...  And then I saw the gears turn in his mind. Now I have no idea what colour Red Bull is, but I betcha it aint clear. And I betcha not one of those guys would drink that stuff.

I'm a hater of the way these drug pushers get away with marketing this crap.
When we had the local servo I sold this along with Coca C ( and cigs).
The kids would come in and want to by those 'energy' drinks and I always said 'come back with a note from your parents first'

 pancho.
dont follow me i'm probably off line!

if you can make something that appeals to the world... you make millions. with the way red bull and monster have hit the extreme scene, they are making squillions.... be interesting to see who actually controls the money... as I suspect the whole thing will collapse like a pack of cards as soon as some no hoper with a crook ticker (and a sharp mouthpiece) spots an easy meal ticket ...Slater and Gordon special...they might even get Julia back for this one....

I read or saw somewere that while the human body is growing it can't properly process caffiene. As in children and teenagers.  It reccomended that you shouldn't have caffiene until you are around 21.  I have seen young children running around playing in the hot sun and their mothers asking them if they're thirsty and pouring them a glass of Coke.  Not to mention the over weight 14 year old I saw come out of the shop skulling a large energy drink.

I read yesterday that 57% of Americans are dehydrated and 34% (Take or leave a few for my STML) no longer recognize thirst and mistake it for hunger.

Energy drinks don't give you energy.  They stimulate your adrenal gland to release energy, if you do it continually your adrenal glands become exhausted.  Then chronic fatigue sets in.

Guys,

Sadly I have 1 small can a day it is very addictive like smokes or coffee
If I miss my redbull I feel shaky and I know it is not good for me as last year at SX we did an experiment I was hooked up to blood pressure and heart beat monitor by race safe before my can both were at a good level after I had my can I was at dangerous levels of heart beat of 170 bpm and my blood pressure went through the roof :o :o. As this does this to you I wounder why it is legal.
