DDT and all those other old 70's stuff and we are still making them
I run small a rubbish transfer station in a rural area of North central Victoria. Old rusty metal drums of, DDT , Dieldrin, 24D and 24T (aka agent orange!!) CFCs, organophosphates, vermin eradication baits, growth hormone injections, etc etc see and deal with them ...regularly...
Did I mention I also run the area Agricultural and Veterinarian chemical empty drum return service. As of today I have 1864 5lt to 25lt drums in my cage, only about seven weeks collection as it is the slow season.. ,it can hold approx 6700 empties stacked to the roof.
Most are class 6A and 7A toxins..... Some commonly used organophosphate ones, if filled into
one standard hypodermic needle and injected into a bull African elephant...
would kill it in about seven minutes...... yes a commonly used agricultural spray...... .
We eat and breath tiny residues ever day....
Have a nice dinner . Tim754
