I wonder if that's the Dave Miller Concepts guy?....what's the screw on the bottom R/H side of the barrell?.....the barrel does look funny to me, as maybe not a genuine YZ360 barrel?. Must have been built for flat track maybe with a gearchange spline on both sides. Tis rare to find and tempting.

I thought it looked odd.....I'm pretty sure the barrel and head are RT2MX items which puts a big question mark on his 3K asking price. Woody Kyle is a noted flat track engine builder and team owner. I think the seller is Metro clothing's Don Miller. Here's a YZ360 motor

I'm no expert, but I kept looking at the cylinder and head also.  I would think the cylinder and head account for more than 1%. (are those cracks in the fins?)  Still it would look nice in my RT2MX/YZ.

Here's an RT2MX motor.....identical 8 fins to the engine for sale. The YZ has 9 fins plus the expansion cut outs.

Looks like this is the worlds most expensive RT2MX motor. Some folks haven't a clue eh?

Here's some shots I took this morning. The first two are of the RT2MX barrel intended for my Hindall and the bottom photo is the RT2MX motor in my flat tracker. As you can see, they're identical to the cylinder on the eBay motor that's claiming to be a YZ360-A.

Ironically the same guy is selling a nice Champion framed "RT1MX" but a close up of the motor shows that it's a reed cylinder.........the only thing is, they didn't make a reed valve RT1MX ::). He's either truly ignorant to what he's got or he thinks we are. ;D

hahaha - that barrel on the Champion looks suspiciously like the YZ360 barrel in your earlier photo Firko..  9 fins and all..

Let's see, he's put the RT1MX barrel on the YZ360 bottom end, and the YZ360 barrel on the RT1MX bottom end..

Doesn't fill me with confidence in the rest of his mechanical skills...    :o

I've got a sneaking feeling that you're right Tony. The engine in the Champion has the expansion cutaways as seen in the YZ360-A as well as having the finning extending to the reed block as on the YZ cylinder. The RT2 reed cylinder has neither the finned reed block or fin cutouts seen on the YZ cylinder. Would someone be so dumb as to mix up the top ends on their engines? Surely not ::) Something very odd here :D

I thought swapping the cylinders between the RT-2MX and the YZ360a was impossible, due to rear stud spacing???  Are you sure that's not a RT3 barrel on the RT-1MX motor?

If it is possible that is a weird thing to forget about.  ???

Firko,

I see the screw to block the oil line and I think I can make out the auto-decompression valve.  The plot thickens; RT-2MX as YZ360A and DT-3 as RT-1MX. Hmmmmm
