Don't buy the auto unless you have all the time and money in the world... despite what Auto owners tell you, unless you can pay Paul Rooney to follow you around, they always seem to have some sort of internal stuff up....
Don't get me wrong, I love riding them, but café husky is littered with pics of broken springs, o'heated clutches and other auto related issues.
And it is the greatest shame as the concept is fantastic and once you've ridden one, the bug is there. they sharpen your riding style up no end as the freewheeling shows just how much time you spend doing absolutely nothing in a corner when you could be braking and or accelerating...
Operating rules are extensive... use only the most expensive oil in the universe and change it every 32.45 km etc etc ...don't soft throttle it, only wide open... (new tyre every ride
) and don't get stuck on logs or bog holes or the clutches will cook
..... That's me out
Its a more secretive club than the masons is the auto owners club and they speak in their own language.
Id get a single shock 400 or 430 manual and enjoy riding..... save a fortune on phone calls to Paul R
(no offence intended to the auto owners club as id like to join, just cant afford membership)
