Chasing as the title suggests, the later style primary drive gear, key, washer and nut as opposed to the early tapered system.
Cheers big ears!

Thanks Tony.
I was hoping for something a bit more local to keep the project ticking over.

Early models have the taper and from '72 they went to a keyed shaft which is the type I'm after. It would be easy enough to get outside of oz, but I was hoping to get one locally to keep the motor rebuild going.

from cz madness web page and  mid 1973 they changed yes early ones had the taper so do 1972 yellow tankers my bike has one and the spare crank sitting in my container has one as well.also the original rusty crank has the taper these are all full circle cranks. how are you keeping the motor build going wasting time waiting for a local bloke to sell you one when the right new part could be on the way to you now by air mail.
just my thoughts when i am building motors 80% nof the time its cheaper from the states than here i have found not only cz parts but montesa and also cr250 hondas.i still have both

Ha. They are made of good metal. Unlike a Yamaha. It would rust away in no time.
How can you take a bike seriously when it's name sounds like a punchline. Yamahahahaha...
