Yep that is really nice, pardon my ignorance - are these 360's based on a 250 and bored/ stroked with the mugen kit or something else?

Same stroke as the 250 Brett with a big bore cylinder and head and the balance factor changed on the crank to suit the heavier piston. The kit also had beefed up stronger 2nd and 3rd gears but most 360 Mugens around now weren't built from complete kits and are just big bore cylinders bolted onto a std 250 bottom end.

Excuse my ignorance, but aside from a barrel (& piston) and matching crank, is that all this bike has that allows it to be called a Mugen? Is that no different to buying a stock commodore, bolting on some parts and calling it a HSV Clubsport?

Please correct me if I'm out of line, but is the bike not stock standard CR250 with a different top end, a late model Swingarm of unknown origin (owners description) and a set of period fox forks and shocks. Is it not misleading to advertise the bike as a Honda Mugen ME360 VMX 1979 when it's not?

I think that its advertised as a Honda Mugen ME 360

And that the first line of the specifications says

1979 Honda CR 250

And the second line says

Mugen Me 360 Kit

Sort of covers it

But i get your point  ;)

I dont imagine anyone paying the sort of money hes asking would do so without understanding what their buying .

A lot of people call a 360 cylinder and head a Mugen kit, the kit also contained a Mugen pipe which was a stamped pipe like the std 250 pipe but different dimensions. This bike doesn't have a Mugen pipe so I doubt it has the rest of the kit fitted either.

I have an engine with 360 piston which we've fitted into a standard cylinder, done the head & crank mods as well. The bike will have DG swing arm, GMC 360 pipe & RC style alloy tank. What should I call it? I also have an engine with a turbo crank, what can we call that one?
