Your right, the 13" is an issue. have you tried the wheel manufacturers? Ol mate nearby is always getting weird wheels made for his race car and he is tighter than a Scotsman on Friday nite

I borrowed my mates trailer to take a bike to Les up in Medowie and on the way home lost the tread on the 30 year old 13" retread on the trailer. I managed to creep to a tyre service and they only had two 13" tyres in the whole place and I had to pay $90 for one of them. The tyre is worth more than the trailer. I've recently bought 5 stud Ford pattern hubs so I can get rid of the 4 stud 13" wheels on my own bike trailer. I'm fitting 16" EB XR8 wheels with Yokahama 40 series tyres so it'll at least look cool.

Years ago, my inlaws had a big tandem trailer with a giant crate. it weighed a ton and was rusting from all the sheep piss.

I did notice the HK wheels on it were 6.00 x 14.

old car punters will recognize the significance of the those numbers.

Anyway, sister in law was using it in melb and it was knicked!!! Bugger.

Her comment was "why would anyone knick that old POS...??"

Hmmm

Found these on gumtree looking for some trailer stuff.  13" rims with holden stud pattern, but I don't know what they're off, if they're holden rims at all

http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/tweed-heads-south/trailers/trailer-wheels-tyres/1022934922

I just bought five HZ Statesman rims for the trailer I'm building, they're only worth about $60-$80 each, but I might have to get some lock nuts for them, just in case.  A full set of chromed wheel nuts is $110  :o I think I'll just wire wheel mine and give them a coat of paint to match the rims

I like the technique this guy uses to sell his wheels  ;D

My long-lamented ZH Fairlane : 302 Cleveland, chrome 12-slots and sunroof, $2500. Wicked towcar !
Met its demise, yellow-stickered by a zealous copper who nailed me for oil sitting in the vee around the distributor. That was fixable, but the testing station would have drilled me for the ill-concealed rusty sills and guards.  :'(
I was being polite and standing downwind, with about 15 vodka UDLs on board... ;)

I got my drivers licence in a 186 HR Special, Beige with white top so I've had a soft spot for them ever since. Back in the 70's a mate had a black HR ute with a very stout 350 Chevy engine.....shit it was quick ;). Yours is a beauty Oldskool....gorgeous. I love the Venetian blind, whitewalls and colour coded wheels. What brand are the wheels? ROH?

Thanx firko don't know what brand the wheels are they have speedy centres but that don't mean anything really.I know there called hustlers there was a couple of companys that made them.I think aunger were the most popular ones,I was tossing up weather to paint the centres satin black but once I gave them a bit of a polish and put the white walls on decided to leave them blue.Cheers.

A good friend of mine Shaun has recently finished this XB-GS coupe, its build plated as 6cyl with 4sp man but of course its had the obligitory "boganizing" and now sports a 460cu :o in front of 3sp manualised auto. Build was a 10 year process, he bought it as his first car and simply refused to get rid of it when moved on to a more modern car to get about in. We all rubbished him for years saying it wouldn't be worth the effort and to just get rid of the bloody thing, despite the build taking about 8 years longer than he'd promised, moving it between two houses, and losing many bets of "it'll be finished by xmas" costing a few slabs along the way eventually he had the last laugh!  ;)

My fathers close mate Joe gets a helluva lotta attention wherever he goes in his 34 (steel body) Ford rod, complete with matching touring trailer. No he did not cut another steel body in half to build the trailer!! ;D It has all mod cons, power steering, air con, mod stereo, electric windows etc etc, Joe is fairly well off and rarely mentions anything about money but knowing people who helped build the car its fair to say the whole shebang owes upwards of 200K!! :o :o Joe couldn't care less though, he can afford it, shares everything he can with others and enjoys seeing people smile when they have a look over his cars. He's also got a beautiful 65 Pontiac Bonneville convertible, 56 Mercury and some others that i cant quite think of right now!  :D
