I must admit I feel a bit bad about this - the bike was stolen from out front of our unit. I woke about 2.30 AM and lay there thinking about poking my head out for a look at the weather, but decided not to. In hindsight, it's possible I woke because I'd heard something. Geez I wish now I'd looked.

Anyway, here's some photos of the bike to help the search.

Greetings
I'm a new member & was reading about the stolen Husky. That really stinks. Although I live in the U.S. I will be keeping a look out for your Husky & so will alot of my vintage brothers. Your story has been posted on our vintage discussion boards so hopefully if it comes this way we can get it back to you. Here in the states, dirtbikes are stolen alot. Seems like alot of them are stolen from motels. Any time I stay at a motel I take my bikes in the room because I trust no one with my bikes. I really hope your story has a happy ending with you & bike reunited.

Sorry to hear about the theft of the Husky, Just a thought for the future has anyone thought about a national register for our bikes? as it may be a deterent for these type of scum if they know that we have a good handle on who owns what, plus it would give prospective buyers a chance to check to see if what they are buying is all above board Cheers Lou.

A good idea but I feel it would let the scum know where to look for what they want. The best we can do is keep our eye's & ear's open & be suss about anything going cheap.

While in the USA "Roey" lost his YZee out of a Econovan while at a track.
2 guys we met up with from Sydney, Gordon Bell & Mike ? bought a Diaper van to travel around in. They stored their bikes in the back & built some bunks into it where they slept most nights.
No one would have thought to have broken into it to steal it's load.

Grunthum, welcome and thanks for taking the time to visit our forum, reading this topic and posting your reply. It is a universal problem alrighty and something no-one can be assured any immunity from. I see the same theft occuring in the US with sometimes the whole shebang stolen..transporter gone, bike gone, gear, tools the lot! One of the lowest acts in my eyes after animal cruely. This makes me kind of a hypocrit because if I caught these 'animals' doing this thieving I'd be having them flogged mercilessly in public.  >:(

We got the forker, the eagle has landed. With the help of a few of the boys in the network we've got the bike back and it's at the Raymond Terrace Police Station even as we speak. The best news of all it was not an inside job but a local feral shitbag who through his own stupidity led to his downfall. It will still cost a reward but that's cool, the jobs done. I'M A PROUD MAN.

Good news Magoo 8) - now we just have to get Hilly's little CR back.  Justy goes to show the power of the network we have on here.
Looking for YZ250C parts NOS if possible

Hey Jimson, you're dead right. I had no doubt all along it wasn't one of us. We'll fill you all in on the finer details one day over a beer or two, it's been an interesting story to say the least.
