Well I've taken to Hannibal with a grinder. Cut some of the fat and also had a go at fixing the gear lever. It had a bit of rod welded to it. So I cut it and filed it square and found a old gear shift and adapted it to fit the shaft. Its rough but will do until I can afford to rebuild the engine.

G,day viewer's I now have a seat made from a skateboard it looks okay $:-\$ now I need to find a 19 front wheel and still have to buy some shocks. Jimson

Any suggestions on how to cover the back end of the frame behind the seat. I was going to bend a bit of sheet alloy over like a F11? But now might slip a mud guard under it and put a old school tool bag on top. $:-\$ jimson

Love the skateboard seat but I reckon it needs a smaller tank...perhaps an Elsinore version. There are any number of fibreglass tailpieces including those made by our own Matcho Mick as seen on my Yamaha tracker. Here's an SL350 I particularly like....

Those examples look great Firko. I,m trying hard to build a desert sled with a old school feel. But at the same time would like it to be not to flash. There is some thing about rough & ready. Don,t worry about the tank I like it a lot so the first crash and it will be gone. :'( Jimson
