Should you keep bikes you no loner use?

I was wondering if any others out there have the same dilemma. I have a few bikes I know Ill never ride again. Do you keep them or sit on them as a investment
 One example is my KTM 380 sx one of only 12 imported to NZ

have been there ,i sold about 25 bikes that just collected dust
kept 7 ,some i still ride and some for later in life
now i can go out to shed and do my thing

Wish I had kept a few of mine - love to have my 980 model CZ250, my RH75 and my RM125S around.  Would probably not ride the RH or the RM but museum restore them - the CZ I would hammer till the cows come home.

I'm going through the same dilemma now, would like to keep all 35 but I've run out of room and probably not going to get around to restoring all of them so time to move a few on and just keep the rare and trick ones..
In the past I've sold bikes that I wish I still had..

As you know fellows I have sold a lot of bikes over the years, I have 3 bikes now, the cost to restore bikes can be high, and i don`t have the work shop to do it myself so I am keeping 2 bikes and selling one, Bultaco Mk7 250, Bultaco Mk7 125. the little sherpa S need to go to a nice home.

Me too John....Although I'm glad I haven't got 35, I've still got 6 more than I can comfortably house so they'll be going once I make them fully saleable, there's nothing I dread more than selling a bike and it shitting out on the new owner. I'm keeping the exotica and selling the bikes that I have no emotional attachment to.

I dont like it when I know there are some great bikes just rotting away in sheds when they could go to good homes.

he who has the most win,s ! so more and more went into the shed .
then time become,s faster than you , what to do with all the bikes ?
enjoy the one,s you like to ride,sell the others to someone who
will do something with them,it will let more rider,s get out there
rather than letting them rust in the shed

Ive got 15 bikes plus a quad no way of selling no chance of riding all of them but allways looking to buy more.

Im seriously thinking of a cull but the prices that bikes are fetching now means they will stay in the shed for a while longer .   Iain

I have put my 98 wr360 up for sale at the moment it is the only bike I have registered but I don't get to ride it at all.

 I can't let some go and I don't care if I don't ride them I still enjoy just having them I gave my gt80 to my mate I haven't been missing it I know he is enjoying having it and I bought a mx80 to do up as I had one and I want to ride one around again.

They don't have to be doing anything to be enjoyed as soon as I figure I don't enjoy riding or having them though they are gone.

I have about 11 bikes now, most in which I regularly ride. Cant see myself selling anytime soon.

I did sell one about 12 months ago,which was a full ground up resto -  totally regret that!

They're not rotting, they are going up in value... And will come back out into the world in a lot better condition than they went into the shed!
