Hi All,
I meet Steve Coates (was president of Penrith Club for a few years & promoted their Classic Charity Meetings )at the West Wyalong round of the Riverina Interclub Challenge Series Dirt Track . Steve was in the same opinion as myself money does'nt win a race ,riders do if we are all equipped with the the same or similar tyres let the best rider win not the person with the money.
Regards Grasy

Here FFing Here.
I don't GAF if you shoot me but that was a comment from one of our leading Classic racers.
The guy's at the pointy end really don't really GAF and rarely make comment, as long as it is a level playing field.
Go your hardest.

So be it....For what its worth, a number of pointy end people are against the rule but they're not on this forum so haven't vented their opinion publicly and others who are on here are afraid to upset the applecart. I still think it's an unfair rule but I'll go with whatever is required to cut any bad feeling, I'm tired of being the bad boy by being spokesman for others too scared to say anything. I'm only a fat old bloke who doesn't race any more so what does my opinion mean anyway eh? Sorry. I'll still enter three bikes with three different riders with whatever tyres are needed and leave the 750 at home. Pity.

::). I had a big old rant in here but in the name of goodwill I removed it. I'll probably leave the dirt trackers at home and enter my motocross tackle. It's now down from three bikes to one.

The only point I've tried to make is that both the Temora club and OUR sport need this event to kick arse.
In a perfect world it'd get full support no matter what.
How much more of a level playing field can you get than a " Controlled " tyre rule? If you're good enough you'll win.
I don't totally agree with the decision but that's the way it is so let's just get on with it.
Looks like the classes offered will be pretty close to the Classic Titles held in Briz in 2011.
I hope to see you all there around the fire on Satdy night.

my race classes are pre60 pre65 pre70 pre75 and sliders.no such ome rule
as ome thats for evo bikes.
as per dave tanner you CANT crossover rules from other racing rules.
for example,i wanted to use a conical rear wheel on my pre65/70 bike.they are legal in pre62 period 3 road racing
but not for classic vmx and dirt track.
lets all wait for the sup regs to come out before too much else is said
