You're right i just watched it but it's not exactly dirt track as we know it, no front brakes and no right hand corners..

At the end of the day he was pretty much like the proverbial fish out of water but an event like this needs guy's like Crumpy to put their hand up despite their ego or it will fail, full credit to one my most respected MXer's Anthony Gunter for being involved.
Given the mongrel we all know Jason has in him I'm sure if he set his mind on it he'd be a real force but he really doesn't need to prove a thing.

Yesterday Jason was a fish out of water,
I spoke to him several times,
One of the best things in motorcycling I have ever seen was about 7 years ago Jason walked the Somersby junior speedway track with a young Sam Masters teaching him to read the dirt
Had OLD BAR been a loose surface yesterday would have been so much better,
Especially for people that can read the dirt.

    Just as expected this meet was unreal ! so many great races and what an atmosphere ,Micks the man now after taking it out 2 years running ! but it didnt come easy - epic battles  just like the old slider days  . It was great to see gally right on song like he never left the game ,smooth ,fast and dogged the bad luck story of the meet was young enduro star chris hollis his times were in with the top 3 , but after rain just caught an edge in his time trial and washed out in pit corner - spewin' !!! theres always next year and iam sure anybody that was there will be back next year with bell's on

I spoke to Wato a few times about it as well,
He has ridden enough oil to never forget anything,
I saw him win one race but he really wasn't prepared,
But He will be next time,
Can't wait till he climbs aboard Micks XR750 in anger,
Can't wait to see the faces of a few Journos as well,

I saw Darrel Elliot yesterday at Taree and we are meeting during the week so I will ask him,
That Harley is now here,
Deus has a genuine Bonneville Performance Triumph similar to that,
I was with Rod in Daytona when he bought it,

Yeah, I forgot it was Kens bike. Let's hope it's seen in action with either of those great racers on board her.
There are quite a few 'old school twins' out there ready to hit the track at some time in 2013. I've heard that there'll be a pretty good number at the HBBB Broadford this Easter. It might inspire me to finish my Trackmaster replica Benelli Tornado 650 and Trackmaster XS750 Yamaha, god knows they've sat for a few years without any spanner action.  Say g'day to Darrel for me.

Now that the OZ U21 are finished Keith Davies will have a bit more time to finish the calendar,
Saturday the 14th is the 90th Anniversary of Speedway INTERNATIONAL at Newcastle Showground.
Sunday the 15th Comemory Brunch at Maitland Showground.
I have a brand new Trackmaster XS in pieces, Ray Hensley sold it to me in pieces so I could copy it,
I also have a Mule XS out of San Diego that's getting a Mick Muldoon big engine,
