Apologies for the thread hijack
By coincidence Jonesy has a Trackmaster frame that housed the ESO unit engine in Black Betty when he got it. Upon investigation he found that it had a 001B frame #(or something like that). He checked with Ken Hemsley and he verified that by a stroke of good fortune Alan's managed to get the very first frame Ken made for the A65/75 Beeza that was possibly issued to Jim Rice or Dave Aldana. Unfortunately Ken was pretty crook by then and died before he could look even further into it. Alan's looking for an A65 motor and will slowly build it up once he's got the Redline Nourish Weslake up and running. The irony is that all Alan wanted was the motor for his Metisse and didn't really give a shit about the frame ::).
Is Jack Stevens going to be a starter for the twins with his own Nourish?

Once I told Jack about the meeting, we spoke for ages,
I am expecting over 20 twins,
And a few American friends as well,
As to my Trackmaster it was 1996 and old Ray that I delt with,

Just like everybody else I was so glad that I made the decision to stay and watch the action!
Seeing old mate on the slider and the Duke was grouse but made me sick to the stomach that I did not enter something even to just cut a few laps.
Well worth the late night, racing was awesome and cant wait till next years racing.

Now how old do these old school twins have to be, and where the hell is TBC  ??? ;D

If at first you don't succeed, lower your standards.

What a great event and seeing that type of pro racing no matter what discipline is just awesome.

Plenty of atmosphere and a good vibe but I reckon the track is a bit dinky. Small, narrow, and very hard to pass . Bloody dangerous with little run off and a concrete fence exiting pit corner. Just a small whinge!

Suzuki27........If you think the track looks dangerous now, you would not have liked it in the 70's......for a Speedway style track, I think it is safer now... :D

Coming out of turn 2, before going to the right hander.......Taree-Central Teams Races 1976......if you made a mistake going into the speedway corner at the end of the main straight you hit that fence......now the track is narrower, but there is a run off with a tyre barrier. ;)

You were right Dave, a heap more run off now at turn 2, not to mention some genuine " DIRT ".
Is that the same set of leathers that sat in the chair on his own all day?

Hi Steve.....no, the leathers in '76 were by Johnno.......2 stone heavier, the leathers in the chair are by INSEX...or Lee Tyreman, Doug's son.  :D

Sorry I didn'y say goodbye to you guy's Dave but I wasn't feeling real good, I saw the legends final then drove home to Syd.
Spent nearly all Sundy on the bog or in bed, must've been something Buckett said.
Had a great time though.
Don't know if Lee is still involved in leather but Doug still works out his shop in Yagoonastan.
He's one of natures gentlemen.
