I just put a set on my GP maico and I'm happy with them. It looks to be a very well built shock. I likey! I have a 78 maico 250 that I'm going to put 42mm forks with the 81 swingarm on and this is the shock I'm going to use. DG

I enquired last week where they were & was told they would be done the next day & a tracking # would be given,

I asked them about shocks for a 75 CR125. They used to keep Ohlins but now carry these instead. I was quoted $595 plus postage. Any luck on yours yet smed?

I'm really happy with a set of Works Performance shocks I bought for my 75 CR250 last time I was in Los Angeles. They were $509 US and the guy I dealt with (Pierre) brought them home with him so that I could pick them up from his place after work as I was not able to get to their factory in Canoga Park. Great customer service!!
I ordered them the week before and specified my weight etc, they were built in about 10 days. I had to let them know that I wanted rebuildable ones with a schroeder valve for the nitrogen though becuse the latest models don't come with that option, that was no problems and at no extra cost.
Not sure what they charge for shipping to AUS but certainly worth consideration

slightly off the Noleens - same same.  I bought a WP shock for my YZB - even got a phone call in Tanzania where I worked asking if I was happy with the shock, how did I like the service etc.  Good backup and folow up.  And bugga me if the guy who spoke to me on the phone was a Yank who had lived in melbourne for years and also followed my footy team (who shall remain nameless  ;D) - so we chatted about that as well.

Makes you wonder a bit . Here we are in Australia, making top shocks, used by top riders for $599 at 3 days notice . They are steel bodies and not made from quick wearing aluminium . Parts and service just a phone call away , we have been around  building VMX shocks  for 25 years now and another few to com .  ;) Something to keep in mind when choosing a product .
High 5 to that  :)

That is good news Smed.
I should of asked about the YSS shock. Just need as close to 14.25in/360+mm as possible and no dramas with the 4in travel limit etc. I would prefer to buy local.

Walter - of course not all applications are $599 and 3 days delivery though!  One of the reasons I got a WP  ;D

That's half the battle won, they still have to get through the massive black hole of lost mail that is the USPS.
