MT 250 Barrel on a CR
« on: July 22, 2012, 06:40:47 pm »
Anyone know if the MT barrel drops straight on to the CR? What's the difference in power spread?

Not your 75/76 CR, ehaust port on opposite side
will fit 73 /74 but you need the head as well, and probably the piston,
a very detuned   compared to CR

Ahhh thanks Noel, I just went back and had a look at the pics of the one I was looking at on Ebay (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/260974336819?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649) and you are quite correct exhaust on the wrong side. The upside down pics threw me a bit though I was almost convinced it would fit.

I can go tell the wife I just saved another $97.50 on VMX parts then ;D ;D ;D

Modified MT cylinder is the best thing you can do for a CR.

Later has short base studs early has long through studs, early has exhaust duct on the right later has outlet on the left. I have a 75 model here ATM I'll see how hard it would be to fit the early cylinder and use long studs/bolts. Early cylinder looks like it has more potential especialy if you convert to a reed.
