Just read The  VMX Commissioners recommendations for VMX sidecars , Being that Left hand and Right Hand outfits be able to race together as was the case in past days. Excellent work  . Strange that it is now not permitted for any era... must be the huge fields of LH/RH sidecars causing panic and distress to all?. MA please to review this strange rule for all eras .Thank you. Tim.

Trevor (Crazy) Anthony in Vic had one of these back in late 80's close to 1000cc 2 stoke twin (i think they run RM465 suzuki pistons?) big and heavy but lots of power, but not very tractable more suited to dirt/grass track.

the light weights with CR500 or KX500 engines were the go !

Hi Walter Glad to hear you have the jumbo. I swung for Bernard Mueller back in about 82/83 for a short time and then Grant Dargue and i remember racing against you (but not successfully).

as i remember of that era Bergemier and Stewart were the ones to beat. That 750 weslake of bergy's was something else. i rode with Rob duke in the chair when bernard went to Europe at the same time you did, any idea what happened to  Bernard's 2 KTM540 EML's  (1986 & 87 models)?

     There is a short DVD around, with Dave Moleneux describing how he and his swinger went over backwards at 145 mph during practice for the ' 06 Isle of Man.  Air under the chair.  Shots in the background of the outfit burning like a tanker while Dave jokes about the experience and all the noise.  You blokes really are good Mad, but how do you stop those big balls from choking the Mikunis ??

In 78 I was luck enough to see the Dutch round of the GP series including the sidecars.I think then most of them were Z900 and such powered outfits.Hmmm there's a nice spot on the fence that nobody wants, after the first lap I could see why.The crowd was very happy with the Dutch OK team doing very well IIRC. Fantastic to watch,but geez they dig some furrows
