Who said Mad was a bad thing? ;)

Of course Yamaha engines are excellent for sidecars - they're excellent for everything, including minding the kids, adding flavour to exotic meals, and reducing the effects of Climate Change.

Funny, the Boss and I were discussing your madness just before I posted... We agreed that - like most VMX types - you are "good mad". Wasn't trying to suck up at all...  :o

Sure you don't want the DT125 wheels for your AT1?

Er... Sidecars. Weren't we supposed to be talking about sidecars?

The good thing about telling the truth is that you don't have to remember what you said.

I once made a side car out of one and a half push bikes. (Does that count?)
Passenger and rider both pedaled, worked a treat til it broke in half. Thank F I was riding that day!

Hey Tim,
Tell us about your Bathurst exploits on the triple.I'm assuming that was before The Chase.Airbourne over the last hump at 150mph!!! Apparently Peter Campbell is restoring the 'Flying Bedsted'* did you ever see that piece of insanity?

* The Flying Bedsted as it became known was a 'sidecar' in name only was similar to a Morgan(2 wheels at the front) the insane thing about the Bedsted was the swinger sat right at the very front between the wheels,so if you were not holding on when the brakes were applied .........

Was that the Mini powered thing? I (along with a few others, thanks to another forum member) am in possession of a DVD which includes some circuit sidecar stuff from the late 1960s or early 70s.
There's one that looks like a Mini special but with only one rear wheel - and the crew sit in it, next to each other. The commentary describes it as "controversial"...

I don't think the Bedstead had a mini engine I think it might have had a Vincent 1000,might have had it at one stage.I'll try and dig up the article.Frightening just to look at.

Tim or Walter you got any links to engine companies(besides Zabel) two stroke of course.Preferablytwins 800-1000cc range?

Lozza the giant two stroke twins were banned from the world title scene some years back.  Much the pity. >:(
