RM 125 CDI

Are the CDI units for the RM 125 A and the RM 125 B interchangeable ? I have a RM 125 B motor and stator but have the RM 125 A CDI. Were ther any differences between these CDI units.

Gidday both rm125a & b 1976, 1977 same part numbers cdi, stator and flywheel as shown on alpha sports suzuki Bear

hi i think the 77 and 78 are the same 32900-41321 and the 76 number ends in 320

I would be taking out the woodruff key and moving the flywheel to correspond with the timing stated in the manual

Thanks Lozza, if I remove the woodruff key wouldnt the rotor be prone to moving?

No (for the 1000th time  ;D) the taper holds the rotor in place not the woodruff key.The key is for easy of assembly at the factory/dealers with apprentices. With the rotor lapped with valve grinding paste(only thing a 4T is good for) and a light tap with a mallet will require a puller to dislodge it.

I think Lozza was being conservative must be 10000 times easy. Woodruff keys are the work of the devil >:(

Wouldn't there be enough movement in the slotted backing plate to take up any amount needed?
