tom, one's to keep the gearbox oil away from the water pump (smaller one) and the other to keep the water away from the gearbox oil.  the exposed seal spring on each should face away from each other (99% sure).  i redid mine at xmas and both went in ok, but might need something akin to a seal driver.  lubricate the inner lips before inserting (the seals with oil you dirty bastards).

i get what your saying twist and shout the thing that gets ne is the smaller seal is double sided i think its rubber and the others plastic or a light metal but which way does it face  ??? i had the idea that the plastic or metal side would face thebearing on the water pump shaft and the rubber would but up against the other side of the casing opposite to the big seal? can any understand the jibberish im talking? ;D i am really lost to be honest anyways any help appreciated Tom

bikes goin excellent mate we took it to CD5 and i had a ride not my type of track but still had a ball been out on since then practicing around my local bush tracks  ;D
