But you've gotta admit It's been a lot better on here without the constant bickering over crap that has nothing to do with VMX. The constant mind-numbing bland still lurks in one or two however (posting for the sake of posting.....)

 I've got a cousin whose sponge cakes, lamingtons and marmalade have won best in show gold medals at the Royal Easter Show and the Ekka. She's one hell of cook. I got a distinction award (runner up for bronze) with my Chili Con Carne at the Catalina Island Chili Cook-off a few years ago so cooking's in the Firko DNA  .

Biggest classic meeting is the Island Classic end of this month.

Dead right Lozz, good lineup again this year, incl Ryan Farquhar, Cameron Donald, Steve Martin and all getting up the Challenge series.
Those pics look like the SA state historic titles at Mt Gambier on new year's weekend : Ken Lucas on the Douglas, and Danny Ahern on the G50.
You are right Tony, the historic r/r blokes do most of their chat round the barbie over a few coldies....

The most popular bike at the SA Titles was Yamaha RD250LC.
There were almost 20 of them fighting it out in P5 250cc.

More rider I think Mark The Armstrong has a genuine 75HP at the wheel and Steve lowered the lap record at the titles by nearly 2 seconds. Ignition drama's sidlined it though. Where is that fist pic taken in Tassie or SA?

Spot on, GD. 
I was there for a total of 3 hours. Enough time to do the paperwork and get instructions on how to take photos without getting runover (  ) shoot a 80 or 90 photos, catch up with the Aherns very briefly, then get back on the road to home for work again.
But at least I got there!!

Thanks GD, but I've got to work that weekend. I would have loved to be there as I've haven't been to Phillip Island since the GP in 1990.  But I've got a big wedding to shoot that weekend and I still do need to feed the family on the odd occasion.
