I have just bough a Motoplat ignition stator from a guy that said to me it was in a 1982 KTM 250. I got it and saw it is for a flywheel turning anti-clockwise. I wanted to use it in a 1990 ktm 500.
As far as I know, the KTM 250s came out with two different Motoplat ignition models:
- the standard MX Ignition: 9600 176-1, with no output for lights
- the MXC Ignition: 0616026, with three wires, one at 6V 35W for head light only.
First one is for a flywheel turning clockwise for sure, and the 2nd I thought as well.
Am I correct?. Did I get an stator not usable for any KTM?
